For example, I'm trying to find cosx=.543 by graphing and even though I have set my mode to degrees (on the homepage and within the scratchpad) it still gives me coordinates in radians. How do I fix this?? (*cough* I do have a test tomorrow, just in case you're wondering, so please help, thank you!*cough*)
That is a round-about way to solve cos(x)=0.543 by graphing. Use the inverse function of the cosine arccos or cos^-1
If cos(x)=0.543 then x=arccos(0.543)
To graph a trigonometric function it is more natural to use the radian as the unit. However in geometry it is more common to use the degree. To solve an equation like x=arccos(0.543) where you want the answer to be degree, change the document settings to make the default angle unit the degree.
Make the graphing angle unit the degree and set that as default by selecting Make Default and press Enter.

Press the [MODE] key to access the mode comfiguration screen .
Set angle unit to to radian (see above)
Enter angle value in Decimal degrees only, use the [2nd][ANGLE] key sequence to have access to the degree symbol. The degree symbol must imperatively appear at the end of the angle value.
Here are some examples
If you use angle values in DMS, it will not be converted to radians, but to decimal degrees.
If you omit the degree symbol there is no conversion.
A general formula is Pi radians =180 degrees

Prepare calculator to graph
Turn StatPlotsOff to avoid errors:
Press
[2nd][STATPLOT][4:PlotsOff][ENTER].
Setup Graph type
Entering the functions to draw.
Selecting the Graph Style (You may ignore this now, because it is unimportant for just one graph)
Drawing the Graphs
ZOOMING
You can also press [ZOOM] to adjust.
The selection 6:ZStandard sets the dimensions as on the screen Titled Window (above).
In the window screen you can set Xmin=-180, Xmax=180, Xscl=10, Ymin= -0.6, Ymax= 1.5, Yscl=1. The minus here is the change sign (-) to the right of the [.] dot.

Yes, you guessed right. Your configuration is set to Fix 0 AND scientific.
You can reset the calculator or you can change configuration (should be better to do the latter.)
I am describing the procedure for the CAS with OS version 2.1 But it should work for your calculator.
Turn calculator ON
Press The HOME (House iscon) button.
Press digit key 5 to open Settings and status.
In menu options, select [2:Settings]
Use the arrow (right) to open the submenu options and select [1:General]
The cursor should be on drop down box labeled Display Digits (You might see FIX 0, meaning 0 decimal digits, or 0 digits in mantissa of the number)
Use down arrow to open the number display format, and select Float 6 (an appropriate choice most of the time. If you want more digits, set Float 12)
Press [ENTER] or Click to validate your selection.
The drop down box will close.
Use the TAB button to move to another Configuration setting. Pressing the TAB twice will take you to Exponential format.
Use down arrow to unfold the Exponential format menu.
If you do not need Scientific Format, use Normal and validate.
Press TAB several times until cursor reaches OK.
At this point Press ENTER to save Configuration.
This should solve the problem.
As I said, this describes the procedure for OS version 2.1. Once you find out how to enter the setting screen, do as I described above, and do not forget to validate by getting the cursor on OK and validate.
Good luck.
