My tv will not switch on. Green light coes and then clicks and goes off again
As said, take the back off (loads of screws) check capacitors on power board for bulging/leaking & replace as necessary. My fault wasn't capacitors on the power board but was a small component on the main board, the one with the scart & hdmi sockets on it, (surface mount inductor L407) that is really tiny & sits just next to the main board power connector under a bit of adhesive. You can check this by pressing a fine screwdriver tip on the joint & see if the TV powers up. Mine was caused by a Dry joint /crack in joint & just needed a very fine tipped soldering iron at 350c to reflow the joint. You'll need a jewellers loupe to see it & carefully solder it though.

since when have you experienced the problem? does the tv still turn on or not...?

Hi
A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Tv and look at the power supply on the left hand side.
You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.
Hope this helps
