My Kenmore Series 80 washer model 23832100 spins slowly

Clothes are too wet for the dryer. I opened the top and defeated the limit switch. If I start moving the tub then it will spin and gain speed but never reaches full speed.
I am looking for the diagrams of this model but no luck from Sears. Hope someone out there can help Thanks.

I had the clutch but I can't get to the bolt in the spin tube (agitator) I removed the agitator cap and there is a plastic piece that I can't figure out how to remove. I have a picture of this but don't know how to upload it.

    Thanks for any help

It was the clutch! Strange even after looking it over it seemed to be fine but once I changed it out the spin mode functioned. Thanks for the help!

It probably is your clutch. You will need to remove transmission to repair this.

Kenmore model 11020842990 series 80. had a severely unbalanced load in the rinse cycle. opened lid, rearranged clothes, would not start up again. Removed clothes to dryer, luckily most of water had...

when it went unbalanced the tub most likely broke the lid switch part
3949238.open the lid,on the right side of lid you'll see a strike,it goes into a hole and this is where the lid switch is,stick a screw driver into the hole,if you don't hear a clicking sound the switch is broke

I have a kenmore 80 series and its not spinning out the water.

does it drain out the water and spin but the clothes are still wet or is it not draining or spinning?set the timer to spin, open the lid and stick a screw driver into the lid switch hole and see if it spins and drains, also if it doesn't push down and let the switch up,or close the lid down and open it a little do this a few times, you should hear the switch make a clicking sound,if it doesn't click you have a bad lid switch.if the machine is draining and spinning but the clothes are wet,do the same thing with the lid switch and watch it spin with the lid open,is it spinning fast,if not you have a bad transmission and it's not spinning fast enough to remove the water out of the clothes or you could have a kink in the drain hose or something in the pump and it's not draining all the way.let me know what you find and send the model number off of the washer, the number should start with like 110.

Kenmore 80 series model 110 after wash clothes are left soaking

when empty and off, open the lid and see if you can rotate the inner wash basket by hand. if you can easily, then the clutch is worn. This will prevent the basket from going into a high spin and wringing the clothes out. Replace the clutch by removing the top control panel, removing the clips that hold the cabinet, pull cabinet off, remove drain pump clips and pump, remove motor clips and motor, remove transmission (3 bolts). Now you will have access to the clutch, replace as needed, reverse dissasembly to complete. remember to unplug.

Washer won't spin

pull the fab soft dispenser out and pry off the cap that sits on top of agitator looking down inside there you'll see 4 pieces called agitator directional cogs(dog ears) they are worn and need replaced

Kenmore washer 80 series 110 model not spinning.

unless your washer is over 20 years old, then it wont have a belt. the temperature of the water wont have anything to do with it spinning or not.
need to know if it agitates or drains and just wont spin.
if it agitates but no spin or drain, then you have a bad lid switch.
if it wont agitate or spin, but will drain, then you have a broken drive coupling.
