Clearing a service code ''C0400'' on a Minolta CS Pro 6001

What is the cause of the service code C0400? The Konica Minolta wants to charge me over $200.00 just to look at it.

C400 is exposure lamp fails to come on, on start up the main exposure lamp should come on and do a scan.
If the lamp is not detected by the sensor, then you get the code.
Restart the machine, watch for the exposure lamp. if it does not come on before the code occurs, then the lamp or thermal fuse is likely gone.
if the lamp comes on then the code, the AE sensor is likely gone.

Exposure lamp the bright light under the big glass is burned out, try reset, by opening front door look to your upper left small access plate remove it this must be done with machine on. press the reset button if the code goes away OK. If not replace the exposure lamp if you can find one a very very legacy Minolta machine!

The C0400 deals with the scanning lamp not turning ON. I would check the fuse for the scanning lamp and check the lamp to see if it is blown. You will most likely need to replace one or both of the parts. Good Luck

Minolta ep4000 error code c0400

C0400 -Exposure lamp failure to turn ON
C0410 -Exposure lamp turning on at abnormal timing
Turn OFF the copier,remove the glass,Work a screwdriver trough the hole in the frame at the left front side of the copier and remove the screw that secures the scanner unit.Move the scanner to rhe right hand side of the copier.Remove 3 screws to free the scanner.(To remove the scanner turn it counterclockwise).Remove 1 screw and the wire guide,remove 1 screw and the ground wire.Unplug the exposure lamp terminal connector,unplug the thermal fuse connector.Remove the scanner from the copier.Verify the continuity of the exposure lamp and thermal fuser.If is defective change.

Error Codes

Well the C0500 code is the code that is given when the fusing unit is bad (THE HOT PART) to reset that code need to go to the rear remove top rear cover and press the small black button on the control board lower left. The C0400 is Exposure Lamp the bright lite under the big glass. Might need to get a new one try web site below as for the C0500 if it comes back do not reset get Konica Minolta rep to look at the fuser unit. Problem c0400 for Minolta

Exposure lamp to reset open front door to your upper left remove the access cover press the trouble reset, if the code comes back replace the bright light under the big glass

Code C0400 contact rep at certain phone #...# out of service.

c0400 is exhaust fan code. Open the front door to clear. Make also all covers are closed front and both sides.
