SOURCE: Correct gas to oil ratio for Homelite Mighty String Trimmer Model

most trimmers are 50:1. or 40:1. i would use synthetic 2 cycle oil and use the 50:1 ratio. i know guys with trimmers that require 50:1, and they use synthetic at 80:1 with no problems for years. they say the engine runs cleaner. i am a part-time lawn care operator.

SOURCE: missing the user's manual for Homelite ut20635r trimmer sold by sears

within the bump head (once opened) you will see add arrows, this indicates which direction you add the line, usually opposite to each other, you will have line hold points (4) within the cup. once you have fulled the cup head with line (octupus needed), thread each line through feeder holes and push line into housing making sure you pull line out through the feeder at same time as pushing into head. pold the hell out of everthing or it will go haywire. Vrey difficult, but after about 300 tries at it, you will still go to the dealer to do it. If you can make any heads or tales of my solution..good luck but its how you do it. Regards Russ

HOW DO I WIND THE STRING ONTO THE REEL??

Check for your model on the page listed. If not listed, your type and all others should be very similar. Download an owners/user manual and the needed information for this procedure should be inside:

My husband bought a Grass Hog HP, type 1 - 120 V AC, GH10000 - String Trimmer. He has now passed on and I cannot locate the owners manual. Is there any way you can help me find this manual. Thanking...

Hi Sandra. Here is the closest I could come to your model. You will need Adobe Acrobat reader (free download and install from their site) on you computer to view this as it is a PDF file. I hope this helps:

Im trying to figure out how to install the safety guard. Can you help me?

On this page you will find a tab for the owners manual. The regular site I use has no Worx machines listed at all. I hope this helps you. The tab for MANUAL is near the middle right of this page. Hope the assembly info you need is there.

B & D auto feed string trimmer won't advance string

Is the string spool seated on the rachet correctly? If so and all is well, it is worth noting that these trimmers auto feed fuunction is problematic at best, requiring manually unwinding some line every few minutes as the unit gets older.

String breaking

Check to ensure that the string is the correct size as specified in the owners manual. If ok check age of the string. If old it has a tendancy to be brittle. If new and supple try letting the trimmer get up to full speed and let the tip of the string do the cutting. Avoid taking on too much at once with this trimmer as the electric and battery trimmers are not as powerful as their gas counterparts. I hope this helps.
