Msg says Drum Unit Life Order K Toner but my K Toner is at 90%.

The drum may have an electronic counter installed and after so many pages being printed, even though it is still good, it will determine that it is time to replace. You may be able to replace the electronic counter. If not, you will need to replace the drum.

Wide yellow line and blotches in blue background

he poor quality in OKI LED color printing might be fallen on one of the following problems:
- Toner is almost running out
- Drum is scratched or its life almost terminated
- Belt is scratched or its life is almost terminated
- Fuser is scratched
- LED Print head is dirty.
Depend on the knowledge and experiences of each person, the solution is solved easily or takes much time or much labor as well as money This is my suggestion that I have learned from my experiences on OKI C3200, C5300, C6100, C330 that I own:
- First, you should have extra printer accessories suchj as toner and drum cartridges (Y,B, C, M) and fuser, belt for reservation. I think you should have them since someday your printer must need them after they reach to their life limitation.
- Test one after one with the good ones. First testwith tonner cartridges. If the test is OK then continue to test drum cartridges. If it is OK then test fuser and so on. Finally if it is OK, then you must look at the LED Printer heads.
Below is the bad print-out:
:hbc-error.jpg?w=183&h=296After following the steps that we suggest, we found the LED head above the red drum is dirty. Below is the picture after it is clean:

Can i reset the drum life on an oki c3400?

On Oki C3200, there are only 2 terminals on the RH end of the drum -- those are the two you need.
I had trouble getting the wire tucked under the terminals on the drum. What I did that worked was just hook the wires to the spring contacts on the printer frame. Put a piece of black tape over the metal frame just to make sure no short between the frame and the wire. I also found a piece of black tape to retain and keep some tension on the wires worked well.

Analog VOM worked just as advertised -- thanks so much for a quick, easy, no-cost drum reset solution.

I changed the drum and there's still a message saying order drum....is there a way to reset that?

(from Okidata's support site)

After replacing the image drum cartridge, reset the drum counter to keep a correct count of the number of pages printed on the image drum.
1. Turn the printer on while holding the MENU 1/Menu 2 button. USERMNT displays in the control panel window.
2. Press MENU 1/Menu 2 three times. DRUM CNT RESET displays.
3. Press ENTER. The counter will reset and the printer will go ON-LINE.

How to reset black drum counter OKI C3300 ?

Buy a pack of 10 x .062A (1/16A) pico fuse RS part No 738-3062. Switch off printer. Remove the drum and toner together from the drum slot to be reset. Carefully crimp the legs of the fuse around the contact wires on the right side of the drum slot. Make sure fuse legs are making a good connection to the wires and aren't touching the frame. switch on printer and allow it to detect the absence of the drum. Switch off printer and carefully remove the now blown fuse. Re-install the toner and drum assemnbly. Drum life is now reset. see pic:

I would like to reset the drum counter of my OKI 8800

You need to insert a 1/16A fuse into the drum and let printer blow it thus resetting the counter. Don't use fuses with the higher rate - they can easily blow your printer instead! Much more expencive that putchasing a new drum. By the way - 20k at continuous printing, meaning print jobs are as big as 100-200 pages each. The less pages per job the sooned drum life ends up.,

I have an Oki C3400 that wont print

Could very well be the sensor window. I suggest looking at the side of the drum on the right side and pushing a q tip into the opening. heres an older model thats sort of similar instructions. http://www.c3400.co.uk/index.asp?menumode=0&content=sensorerror
Also you can check the exact error code here. http://www.okic3400.co.uk/library/downloads/utilities/c3300c3400smv1115.exe
