Netbooks are done without space for DVD drive, so you must purchase external DVD drive.

It is connected via USB, and I think doesn't need any other source of power.
It's really great solution for people without dvd drives.

I have the same problem as you. With 'Birthday Alert' you'll never miss another Birthday! Birthday Alert sends you email alerts for upcoming birthdays. It shows you which friends have birthdays coming soon, and lets you manage email reminders to keep you up to date.

After logging in to your Facebook account, go to Account -> Privacy Settings.

On the Birthday option, you can select whether you would like to allow everyone to see your birthday or just your friends.

Also, ensure that your birthday is correct in your profile. You can select Show my full date of birth in my Profile.

the Built-in DVD player only runs Region 1, if this is not bought in UK, i'm afraid it cannot play DVD's from UK.

I figured how to get the Memorex DVD-R's working again. I went and bought a DVD lens cleaner and all the errors stopped at least for a while I hope.

from what i could find it will record on DVD+R • DVD+RW only

You have to finalize the disc. if the disc goes to the end it will finalize the disc automatically. If there is some part of the disc not used you have to do it yourself. IN DVD MODE PRESS SETUP, THEN DISC EDIT, THEN FINALIZE. FINALLY PRESS YES. That should do it.
