SOURCE: can't get my croton watch to work.

There are a few possible reasons why your watch is not working:

  1. The battery is dead (sometimes even new watches have a dead battery in them).
  2. The plastic piece between the crown and the watch case was not removed (this protects the battery from wearing down until you receive the watch).
  3. You bought a watch with a damaged movement and it just will not work period so you may have to return it, exchange it, or have it repaired
These are the 3 reasons why your watch could not be working. The reason will fall into one of these 3 categories, so I hope this helps!

SOURCE: I changed the battery in my esq swiss watch and

ooh, ESQ by Movado. These case backs are often pressure fit, just like Movado, and are notoriously difficult to reinstall. It sounds like it is going to take a watch press to install your caseback. This is an expensive tool which any jeweler that changes batteries will have. There is no real safe way to this without a press.
Now, I have just supposed that this is a pop off; if it is a screw on back then it would have had to have been unscrewed to get it off. If it is a screw-back then you will likely need to get a caseback wrench to tighten it down enough.

What battery do I need for a ESQ Swiss men watch model # E5081

Here where we live we have a store that replaces watch batteries. I took mine in and he took the back off and took the old battery out and went to his battery stock and replaced it for me. He did all the work and only charged me three dollars. He has batteries for all makes.

I dont know how to remove the inks on my swiss legend watch

The links are removed by a variety of methods. Look at the side of the link, is there a small pin? if so there will be an arrow on the back of the link. this is the direction to push the pin out. there also may be a flat pin in the end on the back of the link you will see a little round hole covering half the pin this will need a jeweller to remove.

How do you remove links

There are small pins that are friction fit into the band. You will need a small screwdriver or something the less than the diameter of a paper clip. Using a small hammer tap the pin out in the direction of the arrow which is indicated on the back of the band. Do so for however many links that need to be removed. After doing this then put the band back together and replace the pin by taping it in until it is flush. Use a thin cloth over the pin when taping so you don't scratch the case. Good luck. If you need a professional go to a jeweler to help you out.. Thank you, Gabe.

New band

You can either contact Movado directly (they make the esq watches) or you can ask any REAL jewelry store to contact the company for you and ask about this as long as they carry either Movado or Esq in their store (don't ask the jewelry counter at your local department store).

Link pins keep falling out on Ceramic Watch

They probably forgot to put the little locking barrel back in before hammering the links shut again. Some watches have the link, the pin, and a barrel that goes in the link before the pin is hammered in. If your watch needs this barrel then the pin will NOT stay in without it, no matter what.
