APC SURT3000XL UPS. When trying to power it up beeps and shows red X fault light, two battery lights, has no output. Tested the batteries in another identical unit, they are OK
APC lists the SURTA3000XL and SURTD3000XL on their regional web sites. In either case, the red X indicates an internal fault. If the unit is under warranty, contact APC for repair. Otherwise, replace the UPS. See page 15 (page 16 of the PDF) of the manual, available oon the product page: https://www.schneider-electric.com/en/product/SURTA3000XL_APC/apc-smart-ups-rt-3000va-120v/ . The current link to the manual is http://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_enDocType=User+guide&p_File_Name=ASTE-6Z8LQA_R2_EN.pdf&p_Doc_Ref=APC_ASTE-6Z8LQA_EN .
Since the unit isn't charging, the charging circuit is either damaged or after the faulty wiring inside the unit. Unplug the UPS and do not try to use it. I wish that I had better news for you.

SOURCE: apc ups flashes red light to replace battery, but battery is new
i think by replacing the battery has not been the solution to the problem
u need to check the battery charging voltage when turned ON with main electricity, if no voltage present from charger, there is no question of battery getting charged and also once the battery is down with charge it may not re charge hence the indicator and alarm.
recomended to nearest service centre

it seems that the inverter circuit of your UPS is dying. the solution here is you have to open up the UPS and check the inverter circuit. to make easier, check the power mosfet if its leaking.
