I have the same problem. I used my machine for one day to test it when I had it brought into Vietnam then packed it while our house was being built.
Now it won't pump water or produce steam.
To add insult to injury Breville advice "They don't give service manuals to the public"
The scale and dirt inside vibrating pump have dry out and keep the pump stuck. If your hands are capable you desasemble the pumb clean all the parts with a metal brush and put them back together 90% the pump will work perfect again. Their are 10% that the coil of the pump to be burn out then you will need a new pump
1- Are you using distilled water? If yes then the machine cannot sense the water level in the boiler. 2- Where is the water that is being pumped going? If it is coming out the drain tray, then the solenoid for the group needs to be replaced. If it is coming off the top of the boiler, Then the level probe is calling for water, in which case you will have to remove probe and clean with a wire brush.
the 50mm side works perfect for the Breville 800ESXL and the material matches the machine. It takes up less space than the original spoon/tamper combination and sits nicely on the warming surface when not in use.
I have a Breville Die Cast 800ESXL and due to wrong cleaning process, I have to buy the steam wand. I tryed to find them in Breville.com but they does not have this part available for sale. Where can I buy this Steam Wand for my Breville Die Cast 800ESXL. PLease let me know ASAP, at [email protected] Thanks
I have the same problem. It appears to be caused by a worn steam wand gasket that's inside the steam wand assembly which can be unscrewed from the Breville machine. This was confirmed by the folks at Breville. They referred me to www.thegourmetdepotco.com. That website does not sell the steam wand gasket separately. They sell "Frother Assembly MOdel #800ESXL-250" for $14.95. With tax ($1.42) and shipping via USPS ($5.65), the total is $22.02. A very high price for the failure of a simple plastic washer, but it beats buying a new machine!
I had a similar problem, but no blinking light, only cold coffee. I tapped on the relay (black box on circuit board) and violá. Red light, hot coffee, and happiness. The machine did the same thing a couple of weeks after the "fix", and a good slap to the left side, and I was back in business. My guess is that your switch is bad or sticking. Good luck.
