How do i connect Orion DVD Player to LG Television with out a remote control.

The best option would be the HDMI-to-HDMI connection between your player and your TV. But because you mentioned that your TV is an old model, probably it does not have an HDMI port, in which case you have to use the RCA A/V connection. I understand you do not have a remote control for your TV, but you do not program a TV channel to watch DVD movies; you just switch between your TV and the DVD player as your audio/video sources. Here is what you have to do: check on your TV box for a button labeled 'Source' or 'Input'. Press on the button and it will alternate between TV and DVD (assuming you do not have any other device hooked up to your TV).

PS3 problems At home I have a new samsung hd 1080p TV that I normally use for my PS3. I will be in a hotel outa town for the next couple of days and I wanna watch a movie using my PS3. In my...

I had the same problem, stuck in a hotel room for 2 days. When I held down the button, next time I turned it on, I got the same prompt with using HDMI output, said yes, and screen went black. However, a screen then came up asking if I could see the image or not, but it has a 30 second time limit before it saves those setting, you have to click "No" on this screen, and it will drop the resolution to 780p instead of 1080 and it should work! Make sure you're paying attention so you don't miss the screen!

How do you connect the Virgin VHD box to LG RZ32LZ55 TV for getting HD and also the audio. For the audio the V HD box has a optical audio port and a test port ( i am not sure it works!). The TV has a DVI...

All you need is an hdmi-dvi adapter. You will also need a component audio lead to plug into the mini(3.5) jack socket on the tv as dvi does not carry sound. You will need to initially use the scart to set up your tv for hdmi as the menu can only be seen via the scart until you set it up.

I bought a 32LC5DC Lg tv from an hotel auction. The side panel doesnt work. The thing I need to find is how to access the "setup menu" inside the regular menu. I can get into the regular menu just fine,...

The only thing that would cause this is a lock!

If you ever forget your password, key in ‘7’, ‘7’, ‘7’, ‘7’
on the remote control.

If unlocking does not free up the unit menu then the unit has most likely had a software upgrade at some point to disable these functions permanently. This is normal hotel based systems in order to prevent them being used if they are stolen. In this case you will have to contact LG directly with Model no and Serial No details to get them to assist you.

I have the LG Dn798 hooked up through my Yamaha receiver

Does it work via component or in a different HDMI port? If it does it sounds like either a bad HDMI input on the tv or a bad HDMI output on the receiver.

I would also verify that the receiver is 100% compliant with the HDMI standard as not all devices are.

32lc5dc lg tv stuck in hotel mode

it is quite possible, if you bought this set from a hotel liquidation, it might still have it's lodgenet card. If it does, then it may be stuck on the channels the hotel had lined up. If there is a lodgenet card (where the cable jack is on the back) you can remove the 2 screws and just pull the card out an inch (leaving it attached to the black cable). Once that card is out, the tv should fall back to normal use. You might need to do a facotry reset to unlock TV options at that point. Only way around this would be to remove the 2 screws holding in the lodgenet card, and pulling it out of the back of the set (Don't have to pull it out all the way, just enough to disengage the data socket. Once the card is removed, you would need an actual LG remote (not the pay per view remote) and hit menu a bunch of times until it stops flashing menu on and off. Once it stops, you type in on the keypad, "98765" "ENTER". This will take you to an installer menu. Scrolling down to the highest numer there is (Should be one backwards from the "000" you start on" there is "Factory Reset" and you use the right arrow key and set it to "1" and then press enter. The TV will flicker a couple times, and then, all inputs are active.

Rgb input is dissabled

If the TV has the lodgenet card installed, Which is what handles the pay per view stuff, there is no way to enable the inputs, if what they stream down from the hotel explicitly disabled the inputs. Once the card is removed, you would need an actual LG remote (not the pay per view remote) and hit menu a bunch of times until it stops flashing menu on and off. Once you are done with it all, pushing the lodgenet card back into it's socket, and installing the 2 screws will put the set back to the hotel settings. Now realize once that card is pulled, you won't be able to watch the hotel's PPV or inhouse channels, only a few Free to guest channels will show up.

LG 42LC2D-EC NO SOUND ON HDMI

your setting for source of the audio is probably defaulted back to original setting in receiver. reassign audio input and problem may go away. it sounds like its not in the tv. i assume you have a receiver and are not trying to listen with speakers in tv. is this correct? if you are not using an amplifier, you may need to go to the tv menu to make sure the audio source is selected as the hdmi input. should take a bit to read thru the manual, but it ought to show you how to accomplish the correct settings.
let me know if it does not.
good luck
