before connecting the cables check the input and output terminals on the apex didital dvd player, there is a terminal output for audio and video reparately. the video and audio output terminals have been colour coded to prevent confusion, the yellow terminal is usually meant for video and red /white for audio. also check for the provision of a jack-pin input as this is where you can plug in your head set as you listen to the music
If you are unable to view video on your television set, the issue may be that the TV's video input selection does not match.
The TV input source must match how the equipment for example DVD is connected to the TV.
* Plug the RCA cables(red,yellow,white cord) to the designated ports. * Grab your Apex TV remote and attempt to cycle through the video inputs by hitting the "Input" button at the top of the remote multiple times. * If you have used a DVD player or similar external device recently, you may have neglected to switch the video input back to the one assigned to your TV programming. * Devices such as DVD players often reside on the AV 1 or AV 2 video input, and failure to switch back off of one of these will result in a dark, soundless screen when attempting to view cable or satellite television. * Cycle through the inputs until you land on your cable/satellite input once more, which should result in an immediate restoration of picture and sound. * If it does not, approach your Apex TV and look over the A/V cable connections. The A/V cable has two sets of prongs, one on either of its ends. Each prong is either red, yellow and white, and plugs into corresponding A/V ports on the back of the Apex TV and the back of your cable or satellite box. Make sure the ports and prongs are color-corresponding and have not been switched up.
The DVD player is most likely outputting at 1080p, where as the TV can only input at 720p. What you can do is hook your dvd player up to another TV, and scale back the output from 1080p to 720p, then try it on your TV again.
Almost always, your described problem could be caused by:
stuck disc;
fault in the load/eject mechanism.
It
it were a stuck disc, the correct fix would be to open the unit and
manually extract the erring disc. However, there may be possible
workarounds:
unplug the unit for an hour or so;
press and hold the eject button while plugging in; or
unplug the unit for an hour or so;
invert the unit (bottom side up);
plug back the Apex and quickly unplug soon as you hear the mechanical noise start;
revert to normal position and try ejecting; or
while still in the inverted position, press and hold the eject button while plugging in but must unplug quickly even before the tray starts to move out.
No,the DVD players are so cheap now,not worth the money or the time to repair the thing.Parts belong to the cheap prices devices are impossible to find parts or they never produced extra parts for it.Basic DVD players,CD players are disposible machines these day.U can buy new one,around $40 dollars.
If it is doing this regardless of the DVD you try, the deck can no longer find the starting track so it searches over and over again.
It's probably landfill since these are now cheap enough that service is no longer fiscally sensible.
Have you tried any electronics stores or looked online: Maybe radioshack, bestbuy, or ordered it online from the Apex digital corporation or either look on the back on the device there should be a label with the address to the Apex company.
What it so far done, it looks pretty fine. I'd break apart the problem if is posible to do it, i mean maybe you have some other sets around the house or some friend who have them.
i'd test the dvd/vcr in a different tv
i'd test the tv with a different dvd
i would start over again the installation after this test.
the reason is to know if you can trust in those sets and second maybe with some other try the installation works
