It's a common Mossberg 500E. Try the Mossberg site. They have the online manual for free....and try youtube.com for step by step videos.

oh no! not another mossberg shotgun!!!
they dont need to be cleand,,, just pull a brush up the barrel and give it a wip over with gun oil,, i some times give the triger a spray with wd40,,once in about 5 years only? there bam good guns,,,a real good work horse but if you realy wont to strip it down look on the internet there on there all striped down for you to see how to brake it

Dismal mossberg 85 bolt

Like most bolt action bolts, you have to relieve the spring pressure. That means you need to pull back on the cocking knob on the back of the bolt. The bolt head will come off easily then. The bolt has to be in the exact same condition it's in when you **** the gun. Reverse to reassemble.

I have a Mossberg New Haven 600 AT 12 ga. pump. Loaded or unloaded it won't pump unless I push the button underneath. Please help

The firing pin has to drop before it will pump. The button underneath is to safely unload it. If you have it unloaded or use whats called snap caps you pull the trigger and then the action will unlock. Here is a manual and that is covered on page 2. Mossberg 500 pump manual.Hope this helps FixYa up.

Mossberg.com will get you set up. But you won't really need one. Just hit youtube and watch some videos on the Mossberg 500. Yours is a .410 caliber model 500. Nice gun. Congrats!
