You can download the drivers from ASUS WEB site. Select your model motherboard/computer/laptop, and make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers that matches your Windows operating system. Please click on this link to their WEB support site : -

In a command prompt type the command SFC
Somewhere things are corrupted SFC is System File Compare, you may need Windows installation disk. You have a really interesting mess.

The command prompt is Windows DOS like box.

Look in your manual that came with the motherboard or if you don't have the manual get onto the internet download it. Find what the manufacturer and part # of the LAN chip is and go on their site and download the driver to a memory stick.You may sometimes need more than one driver too so be thorough. Once you have what you need load it onto your maching. Good luck.
