Re: My Kyocera Point Source Ai 2310 make lines on the...
There is a cleaner for the main corona. It is a small blue knob located above the waste toner tank. Try pulling that in and out a few times to clean the corona wire.

see if you have the lines if you make a copy without putting original in the auto doc feeder if so its either drum or fuser roller if not then clean the narrow piece of glass next to the copy glass use alcohol
when printing? if so check and or replace the drum unit. when copying from the adf? if so clean the slit glass. when copying from the platen glass? if so clean the ccd/scanner assembly
if its just copies clean the small glass to the left of the large glass its called the slit glass and is usally about 12 inches long and 2 inches wide if it comes out on prints as well as copies its a drum or fuser check to see which is bad another way to test if its the slit glass make a copie from the large glass if no line its definatly the sit glass
Several things can cause this if it does this when copies are made on the doc feeder try making copies on the platen glass (the main glass). If the copies on the platen don't have the line its the **** glass the small line of glass left of the main platen glass. Clean with windex or alcohol. If it does it when any copies are made and doesn't do it when prints are sent from the computer Than the optics (mirrors) need to be cleaned. If it does it from prints from the computer than it might be the charge wire. To clean this open the front door and next to the waste toner bottle their is a slim green tab. Pull it out until it stops do this several time. If that doesn't fix it it might be the drum look for a line in the drum hold the page next to the drum to see if the line lines up with a deeper impression in the drum. Maybe the fuser unit do the same with the fuser (the unit that gets hot) and see if the teflon is worn off (will be a gray line were it has worn off. If you have anymore questions just ask. Hope this helps.
Do you use the Doc. feeder? Try to make a copy off the copy board glass. Is the line there? Now make a copy with the adf. Is the line there? If so, you need to clean the small glass under the doc feeder. It looks like a glass ****, about a 1/2 inch wide. Clean it with windex and that should solve your line problem...
red line? this is a black & white
is the line apear only when you scan ?
try and make a copy of the glass if you do not see line .than you problem is that **** glass that scanner uses.IT MAY HAVE WHITE OUT OR INK CLEAN IT .it long thin along the the paten glass
hope that help
check the rectangular **** glas and table for any white out or particles... clean thoroughly... make copies... clean again... make copies... if same issue... then replace drum... but in most cases its the optics... which I advised you to clean thats causing the issue... if the issue occurs when you print an internal report then its definitely drum... if reports are clear... there is something on the glass... or on the part above it... even a little bit of black toner or ink or whiteout anywhere out there can cause a line
make sure the glass is clean it sounds like you either have a dirty scan glass or the wires need to be cleaned there should be a cleaner on the front cover of the macin that you you pull out and slide back abd fourth to clean it
You need to replace the waste toner bottle (packaged with a new toner cartridge) you can't just empty it. There is a photo sensor that "reads" through a window of the waste bottle. The sensor could be dirty. Clean the slits with a q-tip.
the problem is with the smaller glass on the left.
Lift the top and look at the small glass on the left, is there a dot, whiteout, dirt etc... on there? that is what's making your lines. clean with alcohol or mild cleanser.
That did nothing
