Refrig door gasket does not prevent gap when door is closed

I have a Haier refrigerator freezer 5.8 cu. ft (Model # HSL06WNAWW). The gasket on the refrigerator door does not seal the refrigerator completely. It leaves a gap on the upper part and side of the door when the door is closed, thus causing the food in the refrigerator not to be cold. Per the Haier manufacturer, you have to buy a new door to fix this problem. They don't sell the gasket by itself. How can I fix the problem without buying the door, which cost almost as much as the purchase price of the entire refrigerator?

Lift up the gasket and look for screws securing the gasket to the door.
Loosen all of these screws a few turns and twist the door in the direction needed to seal.
Hold the door in this position as you tighten the screws.
This can be tricky and sometimes requires multiple efforts.

I have a Haier refrigerator model #rrtg18paaw and the freezer is not working but the fan is please help?

At this point I am assuming the refrigerator portion is working. It sounds like it may be a thermostat or a low refrigerant charge. If you cannot find it with the links I have attached you should contact a servace tec but also it possibly is in warrenty so start where you purchased the unit.

The refrigerator side is freezing my food no mater how low i put the setting. compressor coils are clean

good you cleaned the coils but that would affect a no cool issue more. sounds as if either a thermistor has gone bad, or the damper door connecting the freezer and refrig compartments has failed and does not close properly. you would need to drop the cover off the control box inside the rear left top of refrig compartment and look at the vent behind it, perhaps ice has builtup on it preventing it from closing

Why does my freezer door open when I shut the refrigerator door

There is air flow between the two sections, and when the door is closed, the rush of air needs to go somewhere. If your refrig is tilted slightly to the back, so the doors will close by themselves, this should not be a problem.

Freezer drawer jars open at upper right corner when refrig door is closed. Air leaks in and is forming frost on frozen food.

The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

Kitchen aid top shelf warm

  1. check gasket
  2. check the light switch on top of the refrig. section. If then pushed the switch turns the light off, but the light is still on with the fridge door closed - door needs adjustment.

GE profile freezer door pops open

If you close any refrig door " fast " , the other will pop open . These magnetic door gaskets , are designed for lighter holding power now , than they used to be , due to children getting caught inside . I would suggest lowering the front legs slightly , so that when you let go of the door , it will close slowly on its own .

Test the gasket by closing the door on a dollar bill. If you can pull the dollar out easily then the gasket is not sealing. If the gasket is OK then the auto defrost function may be not operating. High humidity and opening the door frequently can also cause some frost build-up.
