Not powering off

Hi, I cant power off my DSC-W35. Every time I use the power button to power off, 3 lamps keep flashing 1) power lamp 2) flash charging lamp 3) access lamp near the battery pack To switch off I have to go through a complex procedure 1) press the power switch 2) press display (the camera comes on at this point) 3) press display once or twice again (the lens extends outward and shutter opens) 4) press the power switch to switch off 5) press the display switch again all the lamps mentioned above do not flicker if i do this. Otherwise my battery gets discharged pretty soon. There is no warranty on my camera. Rather than getting it repaired, I would pick up a brand new one. Sony manuals do not give the procedure for power on and off the camera (which is funny). Someone please help. Regards, montievv

Lights flashing like that usually means something is wrong in the shut-down procedure. my guess (and is quite common ) is that the lens doesnt retrack all the way hitting a clitched gear spline or something, maybe just weak motor,....as your retry it it settles in proper and tells the micro its ok now to shut down. good luck

I've just replaced the lamp on my Panasonic PT-LM2E projector and it will switch on but no light comes out. The previous lamp blew in the projector after around 2000 hrs. The indicators are as...

I'd recommend checking the fans of the projector, and make sure that they're spinning. Since you've mentioned that the lamp blew inside the unit, bits and pieces of the lamp might have lodged itself within the fans. It might also have to do w/ the after-market replacement bulb, which I normally wouldn't recommend.

Toshiba TDP-P9 Lamp time reset

Hi,
I had sleepless nights with my customers TDP-P9 projector where I changed the lamp.
The lamp timer resetting gave me headache but now I finally solved the right combo:
1: Unplug the power cord
2: Hold down 'On/standby' 'Input' and 'up arrow'
3: While keeping the buttons pressed, insert the power cord and wait for the projectors led's to flash briefly and then power button to keep illuminated and then starting to blink.
4: Release the buttons and power on, it should now have 0 hours in the timer.

Hello i have a sony dsc-w35/w55 camera and when i switch it on i get access then it bleps and says turn off power and on again but still cannot get to operate .Can it be fixed?

Hi,
Due to malfunctioning of FLASH UNIT assembly this message appears"turn off the power and on again". A very common problem in these models. Just replace the COMPLETE FLASH ASSY and camera will work fine again. The detail of part is given below:

1- For DSC-W55 Part Number Description

A-1231-877-A ST-133 BOARD, COMPLETE
2- For DSC-W35

A-1254-671-A ST-133 BOARD, COMPLETE
Thanks.

When i try to turn my camera on it flashes a small red light and then it won't turn on, how do i fix this?

Hi,

The Red indicator flashing in the Camera may be the Access Lamp or the Power Lamp. The Access Lamp is located below the Control buttons and the Power Lamp near to the power button. If the Access Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is accessing the Memory. Do not remove the Memory Stick or Batter while the Access Lamp is lit.

If the Power Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is turned on. If the Lamp is lit in Red it shows that the Battery is not having enough charge. Insert new batteries or charged Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries to resolve the issue.

You may also try power resetting the Camera. To power reset the Camera, remove the batteries from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds and then reinsert the batteries after 1 minute and check if the Camera works normally. If the issue persists, service may be required.

Thanks

Paper pic-up

The first thing I would try is to clean the paper feed rollers:

1) Remove the paper and power on the printer
2) Press and hold the <Resume/Cancel> button until the power lamp flashes three (3) times, then release
3) Cleaning will start automatically
4) Wait approx. 30 seconds for cleaning to complete
5) When the power lamp lights, repeat #2 above

I suggest repeating #2 at least 5 times. Then you are ready to see if a single sheet of plain paper will feed.

1) Load a single 8.5 x 11 plain sheet of paper
2) Press and hold <Resume/Cancel> button until power lamp flashes three (3) times, then release
3) The paper should be picked up and fed through the printer.

You may wish to repeat this process as well (#1 and #2 above) to insure the paper is being picked up to your satisfaction.
