My flatscreen emerson tv will not turn back on.

Try unplugging it for a couple minutes and plug it back in, this will reset the tv's computer board. Make sure you turn it off before you unplug it.

according to what you tell me . already tried a new power supply . , then the problem is is the main board.

This is because your Emerson does not support full HD (unlike your 52").
To fix this:
i) Make sure your PS3 is off (showing red light) ii) Hold down the power button for 5-6 seconds until you've heard two beeps
You should now be able to reset your video options - make sure 1080P is not checked and you should be able to use your PS3 fine with your Emerson.
When you reconnect to your bigger TV, do the same trick with the power button again and turn 1080P back on.

Tries tv unplug,replug it back like about an hour later.The tv now it resetting itself back to factory setting should work again.If have the same problems,the tv power supply board is the causes and the problems.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

What ur tv problems?Tell me,i will tries to help u.Sorry LCD tvs or Plasma tvs don't have lamps.It have floorestscents bulbs tubes that are intergraded inside to the LCD or Plama screen panels itself.

capacitors in the power supply, they all should be replaced, before it takes out the rest of the ps. there are companies that rebuild them if your tech is not up on repairing them.

The 6 inverter transformers on the bottom of the picture is the problem and what need to be tested.
Unplug the 6 wires that goes to the LCD screen. Use a multimeter to test for resistance from each output plug on the board. The one without the resistance is the bad one.
If this doesn't locate the bad one this way, Each plug should give out DC voltage if working properly. Test each plug for voltage.
The TV will automatically turn off in a couple of seconds like before. You'll have to keep pushing the power button to test each output plug for voltage.

Soon as you find the bad Inverter Transformer, just solder in a new one and the TV should work fine after that.

Mine is doing the same thing. I talked with a local repair guy over the phone and he says that (obviously) something is malfunctioning in the TV and a sensor shuts it off to minimize the damage to other components. This would be ok if the TV were 20 years old (they used to last that long); however, mine is only 1 1/2 years old and Emerson couldn't give a damn that the TV is a piece of ****. Silly Mimi

It's sort of a solution, but I work in a computer shop and got this screen in yesterday. I looked at it closely and it's actually the backlight that died. I pulled it apart and found that three of the 820uF/20V capacitors had swollen up. If you replace them then you should be fine, but I went for a different approach and took the inverter board from a laptop and put the in the screen and used an external power supply. It's a bit dark but it works fine now.
