I have just replaced a Cyan toner cartridge in my Magicolor laser printer 5550. Having dome this many, many times before I am familiar with the process. This time, the printer will not recognise the new cartirdge and will not print anything because the cyan is "missing". I have done nothing different and have tried a number of times but with no luck...The cartridge is a bone fide Magicolor product from a reliable source. Help help help thanks

the toner carridge is stightly out of rotation, if you manually turn the carridge 2 notches this will reset itself when you close the cover.

make sure your cartridge is not stuck and pushed in all the way in printer. If it gets struck it will dump ink out and waste it.

Hi Connie,
If you take out all the toners you will find a contact at the bottom
where the chip from the cartridges touch , these three springs work
loose.
If you notice them loose, you need to take the black clip out split it and solder them
back on; that will sort the problem out.
