SOURCE: DMR-EZ475V DVD Recorder

ive had this in the work shop befor the cogs can come lose inside the machine if your handy with a screw driver unplug from the mains and take the top of the machine and see if anything has come lose, 50% of the time you can fix this yourself if not you would have to contact panasonic and get them to send a engineer out to you.

SOURCE: Disc won't eject, stays in "RECOVER" mode

I have a panasonic DMR E-60 and had the same problem. What I did was remove 2 side screws and 3 rear screws and lifted top cover off. Then if you are facing the front of the unit to the right of cd unit there is a little nipple that locks the mechanism. Push that in, which would be to the left if your facing the front of the unit. Then press the eject button. Mind you it must be plugged in to power. Be careful not to touch any of the green boards or metal. Hope I was clear. I sent it to panasonic but they wanted 40. just to look at it and up to 140.00 to fix it.

Cannot get the DVD recorder to work. Model DMR-E75V

Make sure that the CD you insert it is DVDR or DVDRW, If so, clean the laser lens inside with the Qtips and alcohol, not too wet, and then just rub it gently and try again if it can read now.

Panasonic DMR-E75V dvd problem

It may not be able to read the new format movies. Do you have any old movies to try?

Other than that, when I was repairing them at Sony, they are almost all the same.

A DVD read problem was usually a bad Laser Optic. Replaced thousands of optics between DVD players and Play Stsation 2's.
