The dishwasher seems to be missing its drain cycle. When it finishes the wash cycle, instead of the water gushing out into the sink, nothing happens at all. The water stays in the bottom of the washer. I've unscrewed the hoses and they are not blocked or anything, so the problem is in the machine itself.
If you remove the cover, you will discover that there are two motors inside. The larger one on the right runs to fill the machine and spray the water during washing. The smaller one on the left drains it. Oiling this motor, or manually actuating it by spinning the wheel between cycles may solve your problem.
Open the dishwasher, remove dishes and dishrack. Remove the cleanable filter on the bottom. Get your hand down in the drain area (which is submerged in water at this point) and feel around the inside edge. Towards the front right you will feel the exit point for the drain, which is a small hole with plastic grate kind of feel, this is probably clogged up with stuff. Clean that off (I've sometimes had to use a fork to pry bits of gunk out of the grate.) Even when it's clean it won't start draining because it is a mechanical system that only opens during the drain phase of a cycle. So close the front, attach the hose to the faucet and start a cycle. If you successfully cleared up the clog then it should drain. Once I have it draining I usually push it forward through a couple of cycle changes so it drains and refills and drains a few times. Then I put the filter back on, the rack back in, load it up with dishes and get back to washing.
I had the same problem, i oiled the motor on the pump and thought i had fixed it because it started working. got it all back together and it didnt work. so opened it up again and found that on the bottom of the dishwasher there is a spade connection for the heat element. it has two white wires attached to it and it is one side of the heat element im thinking its like the neutral side but aparently there is enough current going through it because it had gotton hot and the wires were barely connected. went to hardware and bought a new connector, make sure it is a hardened one not the cheepy ones, remade the connections and it has worked fine sence.
forgot to add that one of the white wires goes to the pump so it was loosing contact.

Simple repair. Remove cover screws front, sides and back, lift off cover, little motor on left side, give the plastic wheel a spin with your fingers and oil it. I have the same problem, the machine makes a noise like its struggling when it's time to drain the water but it won't drain. Turning machine off for a couple of minutes, and then switching cycles usually gets it to drain.
I am also having this problem, except switching cycles doesn't seem to get it to drain, I have verified that it's not the tubing as I can blow down it get bubbles, but it just won't drain.
I have the same problem. The water wouldn't drain out and you could hear the switch clicking but the pump wouldn't turn on. Moving the wheel helped free it up but then it got stuck again half a day later. Took it apart to clean it and put it back together. I believe I need a new pump but having a hard time finding it as the part/dishwasher seems to have been discontinued. If anyone knows where to order/find one, let me know!

I had the same problem with the dishwasher not draining. I could hear a buzzing sound, which turned out to be the pump motor (left side of the unit) trying to run, but unable to start. When I took the unit apart, I found that I just had to twist the motor fan to free it, and it ran again.
However, I did not want this to keep happening, so I took the pump housing off, as well as the rear bushing mount, and lubricated both motor bushings with an anti-seize lubricant I have, and the motor runs VERY well now.
How did you take the unit apart?
So. I replaced the water pump with a new one from Repair Clinic. My unit seems to be draining but now there is a high pitched buzzing. Is this what it is supposed to sound like?
