Batter might cling to the corners, making removal more difficult. Brushing pan completely with plain white shortening, then dusting with white flour, should help. Lining the pan with parchment could be better still. Butter, especially without flour, is more prone to cause cakes to stick, cus the milk solids butter contains tend to scorch. If none of these measures help, including nonstick baking spray, which contains flour, you could try lining the pan with a long piece of parchment that overhangs at the sides. When cake has cooled, simply lift it out of the pan by the paper.

Add more milk. If it sticks to the pan, add more butter to the crumbs or grease the side.

Pizza dough sticking to pizza stone

Your stone needs to be seasoned better. Use it a few times to bake buttery cookies, buttering it well each time. The fat will absorb into the pan, making it more non stick. Also, greasing it with olive oil before putting the pizza on it may help. You also may try to not have the grill too hot, that it burns up the seasoning.

How do I stop my cake from sticking to the pan?

You must make sure that you grease your pan really generously before you put the batter in. You can use either a vegetable shortening or a cooking spray.

Once you take your cake out the oven, give it about ten minutes to cool down before tipping it onto a surface to cool. Sometimes if cakes are left in the tin too long after cooking it causes them to stick.
