If you hear the pump running and not draining, then take the toe panel off. Should be 3 1/4" screws on bottom. Remove the "coin catch". It looks like a BIG screw and it's white. Turn counterclockwise. There may be a sock, change ect...clogging it up. Dump it out and run machine. Have towel or bucket ready when removing coin catch.

My Duet front loader.. once it starts washing it stops and an error f2 code comes up and it will not complete the washer the clothes are left wet. if i move to spin only it still wont same code comes up

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F2 is a drain error in your washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display suds and then F2. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My washer stopped in midcycle and posted the F2 error message. What does that mean? Thanks

You have something in the drain lines. Possibly a coin or other objects.

Here is what you need to do:
- Clean out the drain pump catch.

- Pull the suction boot off the drain pump, clean out any gook.

- Blow through the drain hose starting from the connection at the pump.

- Verify operation or replace the drain pump

My washer, model number GHW9100LW2, is stopping when it gets to the drain/rinse cycle and showing an error message F2 on the display. What does the F2 error message mean?

“F02” is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

Have a whirlpool duet model GHW9400PLO. Husband put a rug in it and now it shows an F2 error and will not drain. We have tried unplugging the machine, that has worked in the past, but this isn't fixing it.

Hi dear.According to your explanation,it's drain problem(F2 code). Please get access machine filter.Check it for any obstacle(Rug Fluff etc...)clean it & run the machine. It should get back to normal. Also check for any kink in drain hose.If that does not work you may need to replace the pump.I hope that helps.Thanks.

My whirlpool duet washer will rotate to balance

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

To solve this:

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  • Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
  • Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
  • If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.
thanks.

Does not drain error code f2

There is a block in your pump, you have to locate it, dismantle it & remove the block. Plug off the wall first.

Error 2 F

The "F2" error is called a Long Drain error. It is usually attributed to something clogging the drain pump and/or drain lines. The following link explains how to check:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

If something has damaged the pump impeller, you may have to replace the drain pump. If you have any questions or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
