Motor spins but blade doesn't

After grinding some frozen sausage in it (it stuck several times), blade can't cut even onions. It is not the problem of sharpness. The problem is motor spins but the blade doesn't. It seems that the part that attaches blade to the motor is made of plastic and it doesn't fit the metal part correctly. So metal part spins but the blade doesn't even if there is a little resistance. If the chopper is empty then blade spins.

If there is a shaft sleeve available from Kitchen Aid you will need to replace that and most likely the chopping blade if there is any damage up inside it.

60 qt Hobart mixer H600T makes buzzing noise and won't spin. The hook seems blocked, can't spin it manually. Opened the top part and everything seems fine. What can it be and how to fix it? Thank you

call in an electrician as it may be the start/run capacitor for the motor ( indicated by motor humming but not running)
the gearing will make it very difficult to turn the blades by hand as the motor will be spinning at either 1400 rpms or 2400 rpms down to around 50 rpms for the blades

I didn't receive the sausage attachment

Good morning Deborah.

The route to satisfaction will depend on the circumstance of expecting the sausage attachment. If the Mixer was supposed to have the attachment included in the same box, your best bet is to call the manufacturer help line and just say you have a missing part. Get the UPC/bar code from the box, and be ready to quote back any printing on the box like 'Includes Rock Crusher, Turnip Turner, and Sausage Attachments'. It's not all that uncommon for boxes to be mis-packed, especially if it's being done by new-hires brought on in anticipation of holiday sales volumes. Most manufacturers will be pretty cooperative in getting missing parts sent to you.

If the sausage attachment is a separate item, say included as a special deal of 'buy the mixer, get your choice of sausage maker, cheese grater, or kitchen fan attachment' and this was shipped to you, it's pretty likely that the accessory part was shipped separately, and possibly not even from the same place. Call the vendor you bought from, tell them the situation, and ask them to confirm shipping. Sometimes, a special may generate more enthusiasm than expected, so the answer might be 'um, we sold out on the sausage maker, it'll ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Some places will be proactive in contacting you about this sort of thing, others will 'notify' you by changing the response to tracking inquiries from 'shipped 2 days ago' to 'backordered'. If you bother to check.

I recommend calling over e-mailing, if possible. Make sure you ask the name, or employee number, of anyone you talk to, so that you have a record of names, responses, and such in the event you need to escalate up through supervisors or managers.

Good Luck!

My kitchenaid artisan mixer doesnt run fast enough

It may be seizing up the bush that your accessory drive runs in, if you can see grindings in the front by the square drive that is a sign. Here in NZ that bush is only available as part of that whole top cover/housing. The accessory drive gear will also need to be replaced.

Carbon brush stuck in kitchen aid mixer

What model number is your machine? Try turning it on it's side and shake a little, take a very small screwdriver and grind away to crack the brush and shake it out. Otherwise it is a full tear down to take the brush holder out. Hope this helps if not get back to us for help

Kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixer has stuck hub bevel gear (KSM150PS)

The bevel gear sits above the worm-follower gear. I think you mean the drive attachment gear.

I think I have the same, or similar problem. I ground a piece of meat that stopped it from working. The drive-attachment-gear turns if I push it in, but then it pops out. I am still trying to figure out what part is causing the issue - the drive attachment gear, or maybe even the worm follower gear.

The machine keeps cutting out during blending and mixing

need clarification. what does cut out mean? The motor stops altogether? The beaters stop spinning but you still get motor sounds? It comes on and goes completely off while in use and then comes back on. is there ever a bad smell or smoke? Are there any unusual sounds that you hear before it does a cut out or after it comes back on? Does it ever go up or down in speed on it's own. do the attachment gears on top spin while you are mixing in the bowl? we need to narrow the field of questions down to get to the right repair path. Please let us know.

Braun Vario 280 Watt type 480 hand held blender. The bowl top that the hand mixer fitsd into is frozen. The hand held motor works but the shaft in the top that turns the blade is frozen. I don't...

HI.This steps might be as well helpful.let me just clarify that you can't even manually twist the shafting. If the motor is working an yet it will not turn the shaft.Tha shafting bossing might as well been broken misallign inside..Better remove the cover by unscrewing it and then try to observe how the motor works. If it really does turn when ever it is plugg on to the source.Observe also misallign bosssing that connects the shafting and the motor's rotor.Thank you for choosing FIXYA.

Did I just kill the motor on my KitchenAid Professional 350? I often use my mixer for cooking and baking, but this was the first time I'd used my pasta making attachment. I didn't even get...

If I have to guess, I think that the motor is still fine. Get a Copy of the
Repair Part List from Kitchenaid.com.
First thing I would do is to check the two Motor Brushes (one on each
side of the Motor Housing). Make sure they are not worn out, and when
inserted, they must both make contact with the Motor Coils. If even
one of them is not in contact with the coils, the motor will not run.
You can also remove the Motor Housing and visually verify that they
are touching the Coils.

Hello, I have a Braun multimix 220 watt, and just recently it has stopped working. The blades turn but when I try to use them to chop (eg onions, mango) they get stuck and the motor just makes a whirring...

It sounds like to scnearios are likely; First, the gears inside the mixer can brake if overloaded, and secondly the motor may be damaged. If the motor is damaged, it usually makes extra noise when running, sparks may fly, and overheating and burnt smell can be observed. If not it is probably a broken gear or two. The gears for this mixer can be obtained as a kit containing all the nylon gears and they are quite reasonably priced. You will need to open up the mixer by splitting the two halves. Spare parts can be found either from your local supplier, from braun.com online or any other online supplier of parts. Please see this link for information on how to open it up to access the gears.

The attachment for grinding meat on the front wont work ? mixing arm in bowl works fine ! why wont it engage?

Firstly I would check it is fully engaged. If it is, remove the food grinder and look into the hole. You should be able to see a square hole inside. Turn on the mixer, the square hole should spin, if it does not, one of the gears inside the head has most likely broken. To repair this you will need to take the head apart.

The other possibility is that I misread your problem and that the grinder is turning, but the meat wont go through the plates at the end. This is a common issue which happens if the blade is not put in the end of the grinder. The blade is shaped like a cross and cuts the meat when it reaches the end of the screw.
