My camera ( Sony CYBER-SHOT dsc-w 510) fell down last night and the camera lens which should pop out forward when turned on was halfway stucked. It opened halfway giving a blurry image when focused at something. I could still view previous pictures that's been stored inside it and sometimes the camera lens opens in full but not until this morning. When turned on, it opens for a second with a message saying connecting to mass storage and then shuts down. When connected to the computer, the device is unrecognized because obviously, it doesn't turn on. Is there anything I could do to fix it other than going to a service center? Help.
Try these procedures.

Format the memory stick via setup menu inside the camera. Let me know if this works.
SOURCE: Sony Cyber-Shot DSC S90 lens problem - fix or buy new?
I have this camera and it's been broken for a while, I got sand in the mechanism when I was on the beach. (Yes, quite dumb, I know).
I'm a completely a-technical guy, but without anything to lose I opened it up (4 screws, 1 of 'em next to the batteries).
Inside, I lifted the black hatch on the bottom left of the lens. (2 screws). There are 6 (white) cogs of different sizes underneath, which connect to the main (black) cog which extends the lens. Under the white cogs is the motor for the lens, but unless you get absolutely no buzzing or anything when turning the camera on (which would mean your motor is toast) you don't need to go there.
I made a schematic drawing before taking out all the little cogs and sprockets and whatnots. I cleaned them one by one with a needle and put them back using tweezers. I tested it by pushing the main (black) cog with the needle, clockwise, and pulling out the lens manually. It came all the way out, whereas before it didn't, so I closed it back up, and it was fixed!
Good luck.

Its due to slow shutter speed setting.
If you want to take moving object picture, set high speed shutter, there would an icon of golf stick that is for moving object pictures.

I think you have a wrong setting, go into the menu and go through it and it says USB connect or something to do with PAL/NTSB i don't have one in my hand.
