YOU CAN WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS TAKE THE 2 WIRES FOR THE SWITCH AND SPLICE THEM TOGETHER BY-PASSING THE SWITCH MAKE SURE POWER IS OFF BEFOR WORKING ON ,IF ITS A PRESSURE SWITCH THAT WORKS BY THE LID BEING CLOSED TRY TAPEING OR LOCKING IT DOWN THIS MIGHT BE EASYER

LID LOCK SWITH ON ADMIRAL ATW4676BQ BROKEN, WHAT HAPPENS IF SWITCH IS BY PASSED BY CONNECTING WIRES SO ITS ON ALL THE TIME?
If its a micro switch it will not lock lid when running so machine will continue to run when lid is raised if it is bypassed.Most locks on washing machines are anti-child devices so might not be good idea if you have children.Machine will run and switch off when program finishes.

Lid lock broken can I overide?
Washer not starting Cycle:
I would have to slam the washer lid before the washer recognized the lid was shut.
What I did to fix:
1. Ref the link below for Schematics
http://blog.kennyluong.com/Tricking-A-Maytag-Bravos-Washer/
2. Looking at the Lid Lock section of the Schematic:
Place a jumper between pins 2 and 3 of J15
This engages the 1st switch (Lid Lock) so, I don't have to slam the lid anymore
3. Since my Lock switch (2nd switch), which is engaged with a magnetic, is working, my work is done.
If you find that your machine is still not starting the cycle, you will need to
replace the Lid Lock mechanism or ref the above link for temp bypass.

Maytag bravos x lid lock overide or bypass
Washer not starting Cycle:

How to bypass Lid Switch Admiral Washer
The only way to bypass this switch is fist pill the plug, gain access to the switch from under the hood. put a jumper wire on the 2 wires on the switch. that will do it. I hope this helps you out.
