I have a Belkin wireless router and an Arris modem with the model number TM502G. We recently switched from AT&T to Comcast, and since then, neither our Wii or laptop can connect to it with Wi-Fi. I checked it out on my laptop, and it says the router can't connect to the Internet. So the only thing that's working is the home computer. I've tried almost everything, but I still can't connect. I even tried plugging in the laptop into the router and the modem with the Ethernet cable, and I still got nothing. Anyone have the same problem?
For reference, my router is Belkin model F5D7230-4, the modem is Arris model TM502G, the home computer (that CAN connect) is running Windows XP, and the laptop (that CAN'T connect) is running Windows Vista.
I have the same problem with my netgear modem, although it did work for 2 months before crashing.

I'm having the exact same problem, even down to the laptop symptoms.

This is gamefreak2294 again. We found out what it was, but it's not fixed yet. Comcast said we didn't pay to have wireless, but we shouldn't have to, because we have the wireless router. They also said it was over $100 to get wi-fi, and an extra $2 per month. We're going to discuss this with the manager. This is gamefreak2294 again. We found out what it was, but it's not fixed yet. This could be a duplex issue. When you log into the belkin does is assign you an IP address? Have you used a ballpoint pen to reset the EMTA since you have connected the router?

The wifi password is on your wifi router, hopefully someone wrote it down and taped it to your router, if not you need to loginto your router to find out what it is. Once you have the password:
Step 2:
On your ipod touch
Verify Wi-Fi is enabled and that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi. If Wi-Fi is off, turn it on by tapping the on/off icon.
Available Wi-Fi networks appears under "Choose a Network..."
Locate and tap the Wi-Fi network you want to join then enter your password
There's a reset button on the back of the modem. It'll power cycle it. That should work and if it doesn't make sure everything is connected and tightened.
hi, mate check firewall settings of your modem/router. Then contact your IT administrator and he should be able to make changes to configurations for you. In most cases if server classify's your connection as unsafe it rejects it.
You need a router or network switch to share the single connection from this cable modem. Wireless router if you're so inclined. Comcast is about to jack the rental rate for that modem from $3.50 to $5 on January 1, at least in Atlanta.
