Check the little black piece of plastic that senses the printed page exiting the machine. Our sensor was stuck and I was getting the same message (an similar Ricoh product). When I gently reset the black piece to center, moving freely, printing worked again. I think the sensor got jammed up when we were trying to remove a bad paper misfeed.

Ricoh manuals very confusing on this error message. They refer to standard tray, tray one, etc. without being clear whether it's a paper feed tray or the so-called "standard OUTPUT tray." The output is not really a tray, it's just the depression where your sheet lands after printing. I wrenched on the paper feed trays and their settings for an hour before I figured out they meant OUTPUT.

Check and remove any prints from the output tray, that is where the prints exit.
Check if the exit sensor/lever is dirty or stucked.
Switch off and on the printer.

Ricoh SP C360DNw - Output tray

To re-attach the output tray long piece on the Ricoh SP C360DNw, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
2. Locate the output tray and the long piece that needs to be re-attached.
3. Align the long piece with the slot on the output tray and gently push it in until it clicks into place.
4. Turn on the printer and check if the error message has disappeared.

If the error message persists, try removing and re-installing the paper tray to ensure that it is properly seated. If this does not resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the sensor or other internal components of the printer, and it may require professional servicing.

Standard bin full

Hello,

This error is cause by either having your output paper bin full of paper or the flag sensor out of alignment where the paper comes out of the top. Look at the top f the printer where the paper comes out and you should see a black plastic sensor flag, it should move freely. If it is stuck remove the top cover above it and try to free it so it can move. Below is a picture of the printer with the output sensor flag circled.

I keep getting error sayng to remove paper from tray after I try to print. Any thoughts?

In the paper output tray there should be a tab in the center that you can move up and down easily. It sticks out in front of the rollers. It moves up to "tell" the printer that the output tray is full. Check to see if that tab got stuck in the up position. That would cause it to think there is too much paper in the output tray and tell you to remove it.

Give it a go and see if that helps. Good Luck!

The display says following output tray is full.

Look at the area where the paper just exits from the machine. You should see a small black plastic arm. Make sure it has not become stuck in the up position or knocked out of place. This arm is what tells the machine that the area is full of paper. Also your machine is the same as Ricoh 1022, Savin 2522 in case you need to do more research.

I get the same message coming up "remove paper standard tray"

Sounds like it is misfeeding from the Default tray (just not getting the paper into the machine). try removing the paper from the default tray, and use another one. If it works, then the paper feed rollers are the likely cause.

I get remove paper standard tray on a AFICIO AP3800C and it locks up the software. Then does not allow clearing the message. I have removed paper. Tried Aux feed. Always does same thing

On the face down exit tray (one on top) there should be a 3 or 4 inch long plastic part sticking straight out and pointed down. That is the tray full sensor arm. It could be knocked out of the holder and now working right.

Standard Try Full

'Standard tray full, remove paper' is the output tray where the prints exit.
Check also the exit sensor/feeler condition.

Good luck and please rate me, thanks.

Error message for Ricoh C410DN

When that message is displayed, the printer thinks the output tray is full of paper and it won't print any more because there is no room left to spit pages out. If the output tray isn't full of paper, the sensor that detects paper there might just be dirty or dusty.

That sensor is a black sensor that should be located just at the point where the paper exits the machine, above where the paper comes out. Blow some compressed air on the sensor to try to clean it off and see if that clears your error message.

Output tray is full

Hi, there must be an actuator of the output tray sensor. It is placed above paper tray, just in place when paper exit from machine.Try to clean sensor,or to place actuator in proper place-pull it down. Also, maybe is actuator broken.
