To adjust the analog time for ga-110hc-1a - Casio G-Shock GW500A-1V Wrist Watch

pull the adjuster knob out and wind it around to move the hands
push back in when the time set is right

- Keep on pressing mode button on watch till alarm mode appears.
- to verify alarm mode check out the time alarm rings and match it with the display while selecting the mode.
- press adjust button to disable
- or press two buttons on right of watch to adjust the alarm

Hand home positioning normally has nothing to do with time setting.
Just set your local time and date and then you can do the hand home positioning procedure.This will not affect the time setting.If hands,after a while,do not show correctly,this means that the watch is under severe magnetic field, after severe shock or finally watch malfunction.
You must know that on this type of watches analog time follows digital time.

take the back off the watch then do this
Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs
