Check your remote control using your camera or cellphone camera as your eyes. Point the remote control transmitter to your camera and "on", light should emit in your remote control transmitter (means good remote). Reset the unit by disconnecting the power supply for 10 sec. then "on" again and start the unit. If it wont work you need a qualified tech. to solve the problem. Some of your safety device might be defective.

My lg split ac non inverter is working fine but missing command beep

  1. Check the remote control: Look for a button on your remote control labeled "Beep" or "Sound". Press this button to turn the beep sound back on .
  2. Check the settings: If you can't find a "Beep" or "Sound" button on your remote control, check the settings menu on your AC unit. Look for an option to turn the beep sound on or off and make sure it's turned on .
  3. Reset the AC unit: If neither of these steps work, try resetting your AC unit to its factory default settings. To do this, turn off the AC unit and unplug it from the power outlet. Wait for a few minutes and then plug it back in and turn it on .
If none of these steps work, it's best to contact a professional or LG's service center for further assistance.
I hope this helps!

Lg air con turns itself of

Usually when an AC runs a couple of mins then turn off is due to a couple of things; (is there a blinking light as well?)
1. Gas pressure is too low so AC is cutting off on the coil sensor
OR
2. The Coil Sensor itself is defective

Two sensors are located inside the evaporator with one at the front of the coil (room sensor) and one at the side if the coil inside a copper sleeve (Coil Sensor)

Remove both sensors.using a multimete, turn it to measure resistance in ohms then take the wires of the sensors and touch them with the meter leads. You should get an ohmic reading in kilo-ohms usually between 4k-10k ohms. With the leads connected, rub the sensor between your fingers and see if the value of the resistance change, it should.

If your reading is in ohms 0-999 the sensor is bad.
Note that the value of the sensor should be replaced with the same value or else it would not work i believe LG units are compatible with 8k ohm sensors

LG split unit responds to remote with 5 beeps but won't turn on

Mine did the exact same thing. We unplugged it, waited for 10 seconds and plugged it back in. Everything is working fine now. If that still doesn't work for you, the customer service number they gave me for the split unit is 888-346-1923.

Our airconditioner has the code C6 on it. It has cut out and displayed that code. We were instructed to turn it off at the power board and turn it back on, which we did. It went back on again and tried to...

I previously asked you, if the C6 appear on the unit or on the hand held remote. I contacted a friend of mine who is a service technician for the LG Split System units and he advised that it's an error code that can only be solved by a LG trained service tech or LG itself. It may have been caused by a power surge, which may have caused some damage to the circuit board.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Have an LG split system air conditioner. No way to turn it on or off on system. Remote only and it is not working. Did this a week ago and changed batteries, took a while before new batteries worked as...

Before buying new one, try with this step. Remove batteries from your remote and reset it after 5 minutes. And also remove DC wires plugged to indoor sensor display, and after 5 minutes re set it again. Now start your unit. Sometimes it will work out. Thanks.

Remote is working- but unit won't turn on

check your remote control using your camera or cellphone camera as your eyes. Point the remote control transmitter to your camera and "on", light should emit in your remote control transmitter (means good remote). Check for reset or rst button in your remote control and push it to reset and test it in your unit. If wont work means either the receiver board or mean board is defective. You need a qualified tech. for this problem. For the mean time you can use manual button to operate the unit.

Lg split system air conditioner

Try sutting off the power to both units. This may reset the unit. Check out the service manual at LG website www.lgusa.com. Go to their support page and put the model number in. Remove and replace the batteries in the remote. If there is a communication error, the inside unit will display 3 flashes. If all else fails, call LG at 1-800-243-0000. Good Luck!
