I have a konica minolta colour machine and the drum unit is due for replacement, can i reset the drum unit to get more copies
Enter in the service mode by press following keys:
Utility - Meter count-Check details - Stop - 0 - 0- Stop - 0 - 1 - Stop -0 -C - setting IU life stop setting and select NO STOP.

just wanted to know that by doing this will my drum life still reduce or will it continue give me prints till failure, because i have already put developer powder in the drums to increase the life of the drum, but the counter still continues please advice
If you selected NO STOP for IU unit life,the message Please change the iu unit will continue to appaire on display ,press OK and ignore.You must need change the IU unit after the copy quality damaged.Aprox,20-25000 copies.

Open the top cover. Remove the drum (part with long green handle). Below the drum you will see a strip of glass about 4-5 inches long. Take a cloth and wipe across the glass.
This will normally clear up any white lines in your print.

Reset it, start it with the right door open, go to service mode, clear the counters for drum and developer and go to functions menu. Close the right door and start immediately the F8 function. It should work.

The best way to reset the counter is to replace the fuse on the underside of the printer drum. That is not hard to do, but you have to be careful not to break the plastic tabs holding the original fuse in place.
