I came home and the screen said "no signal" which simply means there is no input. I tried to change (w/ remote) the input to cable and it didnt do anything. I try to change the input on the control panel on the side of the tv and again doesnt do anything. So I try to turn the tv off and nothing. Doesnt change volume, channel... anything at panel nor with remote. I unplugged the television and plugged it back in and if came back on with the no signal again. I plugged a game console into the input that is selected and it worked, but the buttons dont work. Please help.

Please try this, look in the back of the TV and see if it has a small jack the size of a small MP3 headphone jack labeled with 'IR remote input', if it does, insert a mini phone plug in and out a couple times to clean the switch contacts that selct the front panel remote receiver or the external remote input.
