How to use square root for non square numbers for casio graphing calculator

You can use the square-root function for any number, whether it's a perfect square or not. For example, to calculate the square root of 2, press SHIFT [square-root] 2 EXE .

[square-root] is on the x^2 key, just to the right of the ALPHA key.

Everytime I try to do powers and square roots I get an error message

An ERR: MEMORY is given when there is not enough memory to perform the instruction or function. To increase available memory by deleting the contents of any variable (real or complex number, list, matrix, Y= variable, program, Apps, AppVars, picture, graph database, or string), follow these steps. • Press [2nd] [MEM] to display the MEMORY menu.
• Press 2: Mem Mgmt/Del.
• Select a variable or data that needs to be deleted and press [ENTER].
• Use the arrow keys to move the cursor next to the item, and then press [DEL]. The variable or data should now be deleted from the memory.
When deleting programs or Apps, a message asking for confirmation will appear. Select 2:Yes to continue. To leave any variable screen without deleting anything, press [2nd] [MODE].

Graph y=x2-4x+3.? what answer?

y=x2-4x+3
here,a=1(coefficient of x2)
b=-4(coefficient of x)
c=3(the constant term)
as this is a quadratic equation this will have two solutions
solution 1=(-b+square root of(b2-4ac))/2a
=(-(-4)+square root of(16-4*a*c)/2*1
=3
solution 2=(-b-square root of(b2-4ac))/2a
=1

How do i type in the square root of negative 3 and get the answer. It keeps giving me ERR: SYNTAX

Use the (-) key next to the decimal point key to enter the negative sign, not the - key. The (-) key is for negative values, the - key is for subtracting one value from another.

I also have Err: Syntax when i try to graph and i think thats because i use the regular MINUS but how do i use this '(-)' minus??

Simply press the (-) key before entering a negative number, in the same place you see the negative sign in print.

For example, to multiply 3 by -4, press 3 x (-) 4 ENTER

When i did y= and put in -x+3 for Y1 and (x-1) divided by -3 and hit graph, it says ERR:SYNTAX please help. im trying to solve linear systems by graphing.

Try rewriting your equations in the equivalent forms that follow.
Y1=3-X
Y2=(1-X)/3

If you do not get a syntax error it means that you were not using the correct minus sign.
If the - is the first symbol after the equal sign you must use negation (-) or change sign key.
Similarly, after the division / key you must use the negation or change sign (-)

My Graphing calculator has no x or y axis. Its all Blank.

Press the 2nd Button then the ZOOM button. Make sure that AxesOn is highlighted. If not, move your cursor down until you on AxesOn and press ENTER.

If AxesOn is highlighted, then it is probably your window. Press ZOOM, then 6.
