There is no such error message from the TI 83PLUS. Did you mean WINDOW RANGE? The easiest way to correct the messed up window dimensions is to reset them. You can press the Zoom button and select 6:ZStandard
Here is the link to post where I show several ways to draw a circle. If you do not have the conics applications download and instakk it on the calculator. You can also use the cabri Jr application downloadable from education.ti.com. This application is dedicated to geometry.
I tried all possible situations where one would get an error ERR: ARCHIVED 1:QUIT 2:GOTO in relation to graphing, and I was unable to do so. Thus I cannot explain your error (in relation to graphing). I conclude that the error is unrelated to the graph.
As a general rule, one you get message ... 1:Quit, 2:GOTO press 2 and you will be shown the location where the offending symbol is.
Anyway, to graph functions, always deactivate the statistical plots
Press [2nd][Y=] to access (STATPLOT) then press [4:PlotsOff]
Command PlostOff echoes on main screen.
Press [ENTER], calculator answers Done.
Open the [Y=] editor to enter your function and
Press [GRAPH].
If you do not see any graph,
press [ZOOM][6:ZStandard] or
adjust the window dimensions by
pressing [Zoom] and
setting the Xmin,Xmax,Ymin,Ymax values
making sure that Xmin is less than Xmax, and Ymin is less than Ymax.
There's something wrong with your window limits, for example Xmax < Xmin or Ymax < Ymin. Press WINDOW to bring up the window editor and examine the values, making sure there are no inconsistencies.
If you don't see anything wrong, post a comment here listing all of the entries in the window editor.
This usually happens after the statistical graphs have been used. You should deactivate them. Press [2nd][Y=] (STAT PLOT). Select [4:PlotsOff] [ENTER]. Calculator echoes Done on main screen. Restart your graphs.
You're probably trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.
