If there is jumping involved in these competitions, horses always need tendon boots to protect them.

I can't get my horse to wear boots. What should I do?

I suggest that you start by using gauze leg wraps and ease him into heavier, sturdier wraps or boots over time.

Can changing from running shoes to running shoes with track spikes damage my legs or feet?

Changing from running in regular workout shoes to track spikes can cause Achilles tendon problems. Your Achilles tendon, sometimes called the calcaneal tendon, connects your calf muscles to your heel bone. A slow onset of pain that increases with exertion is likely to be tendonitis, whereas a sudden pain may be a partial or complete Achilles' tendon rupture. Achilles' tendons injuries are slow to heel and, in the case of ruptures, can even require surgery.

On "My horse and me" for pc, some of the competitions won't work. When i try to load them, i press the space bar to go, but the game just shuts down. How do i fix this?

I had that with my old computer, turns out it couldn't handle the graphics and such; so that may be your problem as well. I'm running the game on my windows 7 laptop with AMD HD graphics and it works like charm, with no crashing.

Why don't birds fall off their perches while they sleep?

Birds have tendons on their feet, called flexor tendons, which respond well to pressure. This allows them to sleep comfortably on a perch without the worry of falling off. These tendons run down the back of a birds leg all the way to the tips of their toes. As the bird lands on a perch, the tendons pull on the toes and close them tightly.

What can I do for tendonitis of the feet?

If you are suffering from tendonitis in your feet, there are 2 things you can do. Firstly you can go to a chiropractor. You probably have a misalignment of some of the bones of the foot causing the tendonitis. This will help immensely. Secondly if it is on the bottom of your foot, put a golf ball on the floor, place your foot on the ball and glide the ball back and forth under your foot with a little pressure, it's like a massage. For to learn more detail http://tendonitisrx.com/ can be a pal of you, but I always suggest peoples to search more in different widgets.

WHAT ARE LIGAMENTS?

The functions of ligaments, tendons and cartilage involve supporting and connecting various tissues and structures in the body.

  1. Ligaments
    • The function of ligaments is to connect bone to bone. Ligaments provide stability in the joints by preventing too much movement.
    Tendons
    • The function of tendons is to connect muscle to bone. Tendons carry the force from the muscle that moves the bone.
    Hyaline Cartilage
    • Hyaline cartilage is a flexible tissue that is also strong and resistant to pressure. It provides flexible support for structures in the nasal septum, larynx, trachea and bronchi of the respiratory tract, and in joints.
    Elastic Cartilage
    • Elastic cartilage supports the external ear, auditory and eustachian tubes, epiglottis and larynx.
    Fibrocartilage
    • Fibrocartilage provides a firm but not rigid support in the intervertebral discs, at the insertion of tendons and ligaments, around part of the knee, and in healing fractures.
I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.
