The BlackBerry gives few profiles to choose from; e.g. Normal, Loud, Quiet, Vibrate.... my recommendation would be to configure each profile separately and just enable/disable the profile you like when you enter/exit your car...
The phone itself is not capable to switching the profile on its own once it is plugged in to your car charger...
1. Go to Profiles > Advanced.
2. Highlight the active profile (typically called Normal), press the Menu key, then choose Edit.
3. Scroll down to SMS Text and press the trackball.
You can then change the tone there. Now this tone or sound will be the
same thing you hear when you get a voice message. The Voice Message
sound is always the same as the SMS Text sound.
go to your ring profile, scroll down to advanced options, click on profile you want to update, usallt the one that says active next to it. This should open up and have a list of options, phone, email, messenger, etc. scroll down to sms text and click the track ball. now pick and choose which ring tone you want, however many vibrates, and rings etc. once you are done, click the back button and save the changes.
scollup to the speaker icon on the front screen and select. Scroll down to advanced. click the profile you use and scroll down to SMS. You can now change your SMS ringtone from this menu
It is because your phone is out of memory. You need to buy a memory card and move you pictures, ringtones, and music onto that and then it will stop doing that.
i had this problem with my phone, the blackberry is deleting all your messages and call logs because you dont have any phone memory, so your phone deletes everything it thinks isnt important.. so delete some of your pics, music or ringtones, and invest in a memory card! hope that helps!
