Or press ZOOM, option 6 (ZStandard).  That instantly resets the window range.

The calculator should graph cubes. to set ur window range press the button that says "window" its the button second to the left directly under the screen. here u can set up ur graph. X min and max is how many units wide the graph will be and Y min and max will be its height. Xscl, Yscl and Xres can all be set to 1.

Sine graph is straight

If the angle unit is set to degrees and you use the standard window dimensions (Xmin=-10, Xmax=10) then all you will see is a straight line: Between 0 and 10 degrees, the sine is approximately equal to 0 and the cosine is about 1.

To see the features of the trigonometric functions you must do one of the following
  1. Set angle to degree but set window dimensions to span the domain -180 to 180 or larger.
  2. Set windows dimensions to the standard -10, 10 range but set angle degree to radians

For my ti-84 I try to graph & it says ERR:window range...but when i try to fix the range it won't allow it...is there a good widow range to have for all graphing purposes?

There is no one good window range for all graphs, since graphs can have different areas of interest.

Press the ZOOM key, then select ZStandard. This will restore the window settings to the default range, which will at least allow the graph to be displayed. You can then change the window range and/or zoom as desired.

If this doesn't do it, please reply to this post, giving the function(s) you're trying to graph and your current window settings.

Whenever I try to graph on my calculator is says "ERR: WINDOW RANGE" no matter what I type in.

Press ZOOM 6 to reset the window range to their defaults. If that doesn't do it, please reply to this post specifying the exact function you're trying to graph and your window settings.

I have the TI-84 Plus calculator and when i try to graph anything, it says ERR: WINDOW RANGE. What do i do?

Press WINDOW (the second key on the row of function keys at the top of the keyboard) and check your settings. Alternatively, if you're plotting a function press ZOOM 6 to set the standard window range and if you're plotting data press ZOOM 9 to set the range to go with the data.

Doing precal work, graphing a problem, (3x^2-3X)/(x^2 x-12). The TI 84 does not show what actually happens as the graph crosses the (6,3) point. The book says to graph it for -4 <= x <= 60 and 2.5...

You need to adjust the range of your graph. On the graph menu press range then enter the values of x and y. Set Xmin to -4 and Xmax to 60, and ymin to 2.5 and ymax to 3.5. IThis should adjust it properly, as you say.

We are trying to graph a system of 2 equations on a TI-84 Plus but the calculator will allow only 1 of the equations to be graphed at a time i.e. only 1 of the = on the Y= screen can be highlighted at a...

Hello,
Let us use the correct the terminology: You want to draw the graphics of two unrelated FUNCTIONS on the same calculator screen. That can be done but that does not make them a system of two equations.
Since it pains you to have to reset the calculator, I will try some solutions that may work within your constraints.

Turn STATSPLOTs OFF
[2nd][STATPLOTS][4:PlotsOff] [ENTER]

Clear all lists: Will erase contents of lists.
[2nd][MEM][4:ClrAllLists][ENTER]

Draw your graphs. If the ranges of the two functions do not overlapp they may not show on the screen with the SAME window dimensions.

If it works, fine. If it does not you will have to clear the RAM.
