A/c will not come on with the remote or manual bypass

My unit will not come on with the remote or the bypass switch. i had this problem back in oct. and again now 1/20/09. back in oct. i check all connections and also changed the batteries. i then reset the settings and after several tries it started operating properly. now it is doing the same. for some reason the remote will not let the unit come on. the indicator light in the unit control panel is blinking twice then off in series. getting very frustated with the unit. can i install a wall mount thermostat and do away with the remote system. if so, please send me the information i need to order it and the cost.
thanks,
ed merrow

Blinking led in the unit means some error or defect in the unit. It stops the remote control from working to protect the unit from operating with defective parts to avoid severe damage to the unit.

Try to reset the unit by disconnecting the power supply for 10sec. then on the power supply again and test. If it wont work then there are some defective parts in the unit that need to replace.

Liebert gxt2-10000t230 low batt,bypass light flashing,no output,shutdown after a minute

Test outlet power by switching the unit to manual bypass and breakers off.
If power is supplied OK and the filter board repaired OK then restart the unit starting with the breakers supply to unit, battery confirm the display is on and static bypass led also on then switch back the bypass knob to normal and press the on button to switch the unit to normal.
Give the batteries time to charge 12hours then you can test the unit on backup mode.

I can't start the car in remote need to bypass clutch interlock switch how do I do that with out removeing plug. Remote is compatible for both automatic and manual transmission.Don not know what t

I do not recommend remote start systems for manual transmissions. You would have to bypass the clutch interlock to enable the starting circuit. If you left the vehicle in gear and used the remote you could do damage to the vehicle or other property (hopefully the parking brake holds the car in place). I have never seen a factory remote system on a manual transmission, to much liability....

Lost manuel and can't get remote to work

Hi there,

These Hampton Bay Remote units are notorious for failing.

I'm sure you've done this , but just in case: Are the batteries good and installed correctly?

Is the wall power on?

If the remote is a standard feature, make sure the fan switches are on. (The remote add-on kit bypasses the switches)

Bring the remote to within inches of the fan and try it.

If it works then, The remote/receiver is combo needs replacement or removal (switch back to manual because the string has a better range.)

Sorry for the bad news, but please don't shoot the messenger.

I just bought a dual xdvd9101 indash dvd player and cant get the brake bypass to work

However, some units use different methods. Some require seeing a pulse (i.e., power-ground-power-ground-etc.), resulting in the annoying need of pushing the e-brake a few times before your video will pop up. This can generally be recreated by using a 3-prong switch (you can get one at AutoZone). Connect it backwards -- the ground to power, power to ground, and the "Load" to the Parking Brake wire on the back of the radio. Flip the switch back and forth a few times and sometimes the video will pop up.
Some fancier units cannot be cheated. They use an internal gyro mechanism that detects movement.
Some even feature bypass codes. By pressing a certain combination of buttons on the remote then entering in a code it will permanently allow video.
Be good.
Dual DVD
Play Dvd for few seconds until you hear sound
Press Stop Twice
Then enter on remote 26604 the press enter

The light is not working. Pulled the base off and

I would say the extra wires are for a receiver which must be in there somewhere.

To bypass the receiver, look for black, blue & white wires. Black is fan, blue is light fixture -- white is neutral.

The source wires (from the electric panel) would be black and white and bare copper (ground).

From here, you need to tell me what switching configuration you want: one wall switch, two wall switches, one wall switch w/ two pull chains, etc.

1997 gmc truck remote start system not letting truck start with in ,i un plug and it fires right back up,if i plug remote start in it wont start with key but will with remote ,i unplug remote key will...

IF ENGINE CRANKS BUT NOT START -, sounds like a short in the tach wire, plug remote starter in and cut the tach wire to the engine for the remote starter. if the truck starts then you remote starter module is faulty.

IF ENGINE WON'T KRANK -, then there is a starter kill hooked in with it. if you bypass this you should be fine. just follow yellow wire from ignition switch till you find where it is cut. rejoin these two yellow wires and you should be good to go
