If this is indeed an LCD and not a plasma, then you need to replace the LVDS (LCD controller) board.

SOURCE: It won't turn on

I replaced 3 capacitors and fixed this problem. They were 1-10v 1000uF and 2- 10v 3300uF electrolitic board mount capacitors. Easy to spot on the power board, the tops were bulged up. $5.54 later it works perfectly now.

Vizio TV Input Menu Scrolling

Read the recommendation about holding the Input button of the side of the Vizio TV to 'reset' the Input option. The scrolling was driving me a bit nuts so I tried it and "IT WORK GREAT". Certainly beats having to replace the circuit board recommended in other suggestions submitted.. Thank you for you helpful advise.

I have a vizio d32-f1 .. trying to scan the channels with my antenna but cannot find the set up button

Do you mean the Vizio D32F-F1?

For any TV, first make sure that the current input is TV. For the D32F-F1, you can use the Input button on the back of the TV; it's the one at the bottom of the control buttons. There is also an Input button on the remote. Press the left/right arrow buttons or press the Input button repeatedly to navigate to the desired source. Press OK to change to this input.

Once the input is set to TV, press the Menu button. Navigate to the Channels menu item with the arrow keys and press OK. Highlight Find Channels and press OK. The manual for the Vizio D32-F1 is available on the product page: https://www.vizio.com/tvs/d32ff1.html . The current link to the manual is https://cdn.vizio.com/user-manual/PDF/2018/TV/D-Series_FHD_UM_ENG.pdf .

I hope this helps.

If you are using an Antenna, Coaxial cable from the wall or a cable/satellite box connected to the TV with a coaxial cable, you will need to do the following steps:
1. Press the INPUT button on your VIZIO remote to view your current input source. Ensure that the TV input is the input that is selected.
2. If the TV input is not selected, press the INPUT button on the remote until the TV or DTV input option is selected.
3. Press the Menu button on your VIZIO remote and select CHANNELS.
4. Select the option that says FIND CHANNELS.

My Vizio VP322 powers on with the side button, but doesn't respond to the power button when on. I've replaced the main board with a new one with the same results.

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. Surf the site with patience. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.

How do you change to hdmi video source

There are several ways to change your video input source for the E421VO. First: the lowest button on the side of the TV will cycle through the inputs. (The power button is the top button.) The original remote has the Input button to the left of the Zero button at the bottom left of the number area. With both just press the key multiple times to go through all of the inputs. Alternatively, press the Menu button and look for the Source sub-menu. Use the arrow keys to move to the chosen menu. (On the TV, the menu button is below the power button. On the remote, Menu is the button to the top right above the arrow keys.) If you are using a universal remote, you may need to find one that matches the Input or Menu functions for your TV. A different code may help if the remote has either button. Otherwise, you'll need a different remote.

The manual for the Vizio E421VO is available from Vizio's product site: http://www.vizio.com/e421vo.html . Click on the Support/Manuals tab. The direct link to the manual is http://www.vizio.com/documents/downloads/hdtv/E421VO/UM_E421VO.pdf . All of these options are shown in the manual.

I hope this helps.
