We have just got a second hand Taylor c723 machine and it keeps saying freezer locked. Any ideas

Empty the machine, clean it out. Remove the freezer door assembly, shut the machine off. it should display a 5 minute timer and 4 temp readings. All 4 of the temp readings need to be above 60 degrees F. for the counter to start. Once it reaches zero, the machine will reset and you should be good to go. If successful the machine will display "Power Switch Off---Unit Cleaned". if at any point during the 5 minute countdown, one of the temp readings drops below 60, the countdown will reset to 5 minutes and the machine will stay freezer locked.

My C713 water cooled yogurt machine keeps locking and only works when cleaned but only for a few hours then it locks again. Does anyone know why?

The temperature of the product is too high. If the product either in the cylinders or the hopper goes above safe temperature for too long the freezer will lock until the product is removed and the unit is properly cleaned. I would guess it's the hopper temperature because I think you would notice if the product that's dispensed is above 40 degrees. Soft Serve Parts C713

How to unlock taylor c712 freezer lock

Under normal operating conditions, the C712 will enter freezer lock when the temperature of the barrels or hoppers have been above 41 degrees for too long. It requires you to do a cleaning cycle. You will have to empty the machine of product, rinse it out, remove the freezer door, and shut the machine off. once the machine is off you will see a 5 minute timer and 4 temperature readings. That timer wont start unless all 4 temperature reading are above 60 degrees F. once the timer reaches zero, the machine will unlock and your brush cycle timer will reset to 00. The brush cycle timer is underneath your main display. Your main display should now show "Power Switch Off--- Unit Cleaned" and you can now reassemble your machine and can use it.
Some causes:

Low product with a lid off.

During a cleaning cycle, the barrels take longer to come up to temperature than the hoppers. Its entirely possible to thoroughly and properly clean the machine without satisfying the temperature requirements. The machine doesn't register the cleaning cycle and you reassemble the machine. The machine doesn't know you cleaned the machine so it was still keeping track of how long the temperatures were above 41 degrees and as soon you try to put it in auto or standby, it goes into a freezer locked condition.

One of the probes may be failing. You can check this by going into "Current Conditions" in your managers menu. You'll see the 4 temperature readings and if one of them is a lot higher or lower than the actual temperature of the product that could be an indicator of a failing temperature probe.

Cuisinart Ice Cream Freezer Bowls Not Freezing Anymore

I would take the freezer bowls out of the freezer, run them both under the sink to thaw both bowls out, dry both bowls thoroughly, and then set them both on the counter so that the liquid settles toward the bottom of the freezer bowls. After 1 hour, place the bowls FLAT back into the freezer - don't forget to wrap them in a plastic grocery bag or some other sort of plastic bag. Try to make ice cream again after 24 hours or more of freezing. Let me know if this works, so I can pass the good news along to others.

Ice cream maker instructions

Hi,
I have the booklet for this machine.
1) you can use any IC recipe as long as it does not exceed 1 quart. This is for vanilla:
1/2 c sugar
1 1/4 c half&half
1 1/2 c heavy whipping cream
2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla
with mixer beat eggs and sugar until thincl and cream colored. Addthe cream and vanilla mix well.

the machine:

you want to put the freezer cylinder in a plastic bag (to prevent freezer burn) and then put it in the back of your freezer until completely frozen 6 to 22 hours. You should not be able to hear liquid slosh when you shake it. For making stuff quick they recommend keeping it in the freezer in the bag.

step one: Put maker on flat surface.

two: Put the mixer bowl on the base.

three: Place frozen cylinder into to the mixer bowl (the big one) do this when you are ready to start the IC because the cylinder begins defrosting right away.

four: set the paddle on top of the cylinder, placing the peg on the freezer cylinder inside the peg hole on the paddle

five: Place the cover over the mixer bowl, locking the grooves on the motor base. Plug in, turn on, the bowl and cylinder will begin to turn.

six: Pour the recipe into the feeder hole of the cover then put the lid on.

You will need 20 to 40 minutes or until mixture is frozen. Don't stop the machine until done. If you want hard ice cream spoon the soft serve into an airtight bowl and put it in the freezer till it is like you want it.

Hope this helps, Elizabeth

Tank won't freeze

The keys are to make sure the freezer is cold enough, and to make sure the bowl is level when it is sitting in the freezer. 24 hours is usually required, despite what manual says.

If all else fails, the freezer bowls are replaceable - you can order them from Cuisinart - if you are in-warranty, they may even be able to give it to you for free.

Deni Ice Cream Maker Manual

I don't have a flatbed scanner to scan it, but here are the operating instructions (at least for the 5201).
1. Place canister in freezer for 8 hours (must be frozen solid-so that you can't hear liquid in canister sloshing around)
2. Prepare your ingredients ahead, and chill them for best results.
3. Take canister out of freezer and place on motor base. Use canister immediately after removing from freezer, as it will begin to thaw once placed at room temp.
4. Place the paddle inside container. Be sure the tould side of the paddle faces up.
5. Lock the lid (the clear plastic piece that fits over the container)onto motor base. The tabs on the bottom of the lid should line up with the indentations in the motor base. This ensures that the lid is locked in place. When fitting the lid onto the base, the stir paddle should "fit" into the lid.
6. Turn the On/Off dial to the right (on position).IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU TURN THE UNIT ON BEFORE POURING IN THE MIXTURE. THE CANISTER ROTATES WHILE THE STIR PADDLE REMAINS STATIONARY.
7. Slowly pour the mixture in the top opening of the lid. It is at this time that you place the top on the clear-vue lid and leave the machine on for about 5-30 minutes (time varies, depending on the coldness of ingredients and canister, and desired consitency) If making ice cream, your result should be a soft, custard-like ice cream
8. When the frozen dessert is ready, make sure the unit is off. Remove the lid and the mixture from the bowl with a plastic spoon or scoop. NEVER USE METAL INSTRUMENTS IN THE CANISTER.
9. Ice cream will be custard-like. If you prefer hard ice cream, place in freezer in air tight container and allow to set until it reaches your desired hardness. Don't put the ice cream in the canister in your freezer for more than 30 minutes, as the ice cream will freeze solid to the container and possibly damage it.

Hope this helps... If you need something else, let me know. I will try to check back soon.

Freezer bowl not frozen!

Preparing the Freezer Bowl:
The freezer bowl must be completely frozen before you begin your recipe. The length of time needed to reach the frozen state depends on how cold your freezer is – for best results, place the bowl to the rear of your freezer where it is coldest. In general, freezing time is between 6 hours and 22 hours. To determine whether the bowl is completely frozen, shake it. If you do not hear liquid moving, the cooling liquid is frozen. For the most convenience, leave your freezer bowl in the freezer at all times so you can take it out any time for immediate use.

Features and Benefits:
  • Freezer Bowl – The double insulated freezer bowl contains a cooling liquid between the bowl walls to create fast and even freezing. In general, the required freezing time of the bowl is 6 to 22 hours before use. Additional freezer bowls are available separately for making double batches or different flavors without interruption. For additional information on preparing the freezer bowl for use, please see below.
  • Base and Motor Unit – The base contains a heavy-duty motor that is strong enough to handle everything from thick, rich ice creams to smooth frozen yogurts to slushy frozen drinks . The base unit features a generously sized on/off switch, rubber feet to prevent slipping and keep the unit stationary while in use as well as cord storage to keep counters neat and safe when the unit is not is use.
  • Lid with Ingredient Spout – The easy-lock, transparent lid secures to the base with a simple turn, allowing you to watch the freezing process as it progresses. An ingredient spout at the top of the lid is generously sized for pouring in ingredients and ideal for adding nuts, fresh fruit, candy pieces and more without interruption the freezing cycle.
  • Mixing Arm – The mixing arm mixes and aerates your frozen desserts and drinks, incorporating and blending all ingredients thoroughly.
  • Instruction/Recipe Book - The included instruction and recipe booklet helps you get started with over 30 recipes and variations for ice creams, sherbets, sorbets, frozen yogurts and frozen drinks.
