My Emerson Model FR23RD is not working due to a power outage and I do not remember the cost of it a year ago, can anyone help?

Was your power outage due to a storm as in lightening-may have cooked your machine-may also be covered by your home owners insurance-cheers denny

Please check if your surge protector is working properly now. There is possibility that the surge protector is blown off due to high voltage surge. Check if your surge protector has a reset switch which some of the surge protectors have. If the problem still persists then you have to call the technician to replace the safety fuse which is inside the TV. The cost will not be much. I will personally recommend that you change your TV as it has outlived its life being 10 yrs old.

Sounds like a problem with the power supply, due to age, or power outages/surges. Best off buying a new vcr since they are really inexpensive.

I would chech the components on the compressor. Take the cover off the compressor power terminals and inspect the relay for damage.The power outage is not a concern but the power surge could definately be the cause. hope this helps.

HI. i couldn't find the FR23RD but, i have been told that this manual covers your model. It basically covers FR24SL threw FR24RD. Your model is also covered in this edition. Click to review your manual.

It sounds like it got fried by that power outage, did you have a surge protector on it? If you just bought it in December it should still be under warranty. I recommend you call Emerson and see what they can do about it.

mine did the same thing, I took it to a TV repair store and they said it was a power surge which damaged the power source board. (possibly caused by lightening)
total cost to repair was $70.00 well worth since was only couple years old.
TV is working well.------we'll see for how long????
