To change the drive belt on a 26 horsepower 50, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the engine and make sure the machine is completely2. Locate the drive belt on your 26 horsepower 50. It will be located on the pulleys that transfer power from the engine to the transmission or other parts of the machine.
3. If necessary, remove any guards or covers that are
bad transmission, bad drive belt, bad pulley lots of things could go bad try your belt first or take it to your nearest lawn and garden shop they'll uselly charge a 15 dollar diagnostic fee but 99% of the time they'll tell you what it is for sure
probably need to check and see if it's snapped into the sides of the wheel adjusters... next time, including a model number will get you a better answer !!!
remove plastic belt cover remove the guard,belt/pulley work in the right side first: remove the rigth-side wheel remove the screws of the bumper remove 2 screws on bracket/transmission assembly pull the bracket install the new belt reinstall the right side screws and wheel
