551 error in whirlpool 360

At the end of the cycle near to 25 min water will be removed but not completely only half and starts displaying 551 with beep and machine stops

Check the drain pump filter and you may have to disassemble the drain pump itself to clear obstructions a paper clip is enough o stop a washer these days.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SW1: Won't drain

The washer drew half a tub of water on the "Bulky items" cycle, and stopped. All the lights on the cycle dial light up and flash, the machine beeps and the me error message in the "estimated time remaining" field is "Ld". I've tried to shut the machine down and change the cycle to "drain and spin" but it will not agitate, won't drain or spin.

SOURCE: Washing machine displays an LF error code.

LF = Long Fill

LF flashes when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on OR water has disengaged the basket but control does not detect a water level change.
Is water supply connected and turned on?
Are hose screens plugged?
Is water entering the tub? If so check pressure hose connection to machine/motor control.

what's the full model number ?i've never worked on one of these and sure sooner or later i will get a call for one so i started to check it out,from what i've found like on older whirlpool top loaders there's a hall sensor or speed or position sensor on the motor and this could be the problem

also i found a video from whirlpool and they show the error 551,they show that it could be from oversudsing,the washer is trying to pump out the water and if there's to much suds it can't pump suds so the motor could overheat,if there's water still in tub i would check the pump to see if anything is in there.send model number i'd like to check it out.

How to stop the water?
Not knowing what brand / model you have makes it difficult however, the basic symptoms of a water problem are; If the water keeps coming into the machine with the power off and the tap on, it will be a valve fault. If the water keeps coming in with power on and on a wash cycle, its likely to be a fault with the pressure switch, pressure tube (Split or hanging off) or an electronic failure of the control board.Lastly, check the drain hose. If the end of the hose is lower than the water level of the machine, it is possible for the machine to start syphoning itself. Espe3cially just after the first pump out (Start of Rinse cycle) Make sure the machine is actually pumping water out. If it cant pump out, the machine may try to refill but it is already still full from last wash , causing the error code to flash. Check for pump jamming up with foreign objects, or hoses blocked with a sock, lint etc.. Sorry but cant help much more than this.

Washing machine displays an LF error code. Started last week during whitest whites cycle in rinse. I cancelled and just did rinse to finish my load. All other cycles worked and yesterday all started...

Flashing "F" at end of cycle - Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P
The error indicates that there is no water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected..If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • If there is no water in the unit:
    1. Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
    2. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
    3. Verify inlet valve operation
  • If there is water in the unit:
    1. Verify Drain pump operation
    2. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch
  • Verify there is not a siphon problem
  • Verify wire harness connections to:Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
  • Check all hoses for possible leaks
  • Verify pressure switch operation
  • Verify flow meter operation
  • Verify CCU operation

Cycle takes forever
IE is Inlet Error. Turn off the water valves behind the washer and remove the hoses from the machine end. Look inside the spot the hoses were attached to, and use a plier to pull out the screen and clean it out. (probably only need to do the cold side) Re-instert screen(s), re-attach hoses, and turn valves back on. (Also, make sure hoses are not kinked behind machine.) Times displayed are estimates, and vary due to water fill rates, and load type and size. In your case, the water fill rate is the problem.

Its giving me a 5d message
I have researched this problem and went to Whirlpool's web-site and it is actually not a 5, but an S. I thought the same thing so dont worry. Error code S d is the error code for too many suds in the machine which will either stop the washer in the middle of the cycle or it will complete the cycle and display it at the end letting you know it did not get all the soap out. My guess is that you have used a soap or fabric softener that is either not HE or you are putting too much soap or fabric softener in. It is ok to use soap that is not HE, but make sure that you only use a half a cap full because this soap has bubbling agents in it and would cause the S d error code. I actually use a half a cap of HE soap as well. Think about it, your HE washer uses less than half the water, but the soap companies kept the same same size cap on the soap bottle. I am thinking the soap companies are trying to sell more soap. Washer stopping mid-cycle with no error
Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you have drained, unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out. F-21 filter blocked.

Duet Washer, clothes dripping wet
set it for a drain/spin cycle and watch it 12 min. doesit sound like the pump is kicking on???? if so is it removing water??? (you should hear it or see it exiting out hte drain hose.) next is it actually spinning at full speed by min 7 in the display it should start ramping up to the final full rpm spins, usually faults out if there a problem with unit itself, otherwise its a user end issue. you ARE usinf HE detergent right? not just a little less of regular soap! although it sounds good HE detergent actually designed for yuse qith the frontloading products, too much suds causes , no hide speed spin aas well as a SUD in the display
