SOURCE: fraction problem

Go into MODE to the second page.  In Exact/Approximate, change it to Approx instead of Auto or Exact.  This will give you decimals instead of fractions.

SOURCE: need to program to fifth decimal place

Your BA II PLUS stores numeric values internally to an accuracy of 13 digits. However, the numbers it displays depends on the number of decimal places to which you have it set (choice of 0–9 or floating decimal). To set the number of decimal places displayed to three: hit [2ND][FORMAT][5][ENTER]This setting also continues indefinitely (even though the calculator is turned off and on) until it is changed.

SOURCE: MY TI nspire always rounds

Turn it on, hit MODE then change the FLOAT value from 1 to Float itself. Float allows you to round, and something changed that setting

How many cubic yards for a 20x12 slan 4 inches thick

Assuming that 20x12 means 20 feet by 12 feet, then you take the three values in feet - 20, 12, and .333 (4 inches is 1/3 foot).

Multiply these three numbers to get the cubic feet:
12 x 20 = 240
240 x .333 = 79.92
Now that you have 79.92 cubic feet, to get cubic yards you divide by 9 since there are 9 cubic feet per cubic yard.

79.92 cu. ft. divided by 9 = 8.88 cubic yards (round up to 9).

How much volume in gallons does ten foot of three quarter inch copper pipe contain?

0.23 gallons. Figured out by assuming the pipe is .75 inches inside diameter. To get the volume, calculate the area of the cross-section with the formula Pi times the radius squared. Which is 0.375 squared times Pi = 0.441786. Multiply that times 12 inches per foot times 10 feet = 53 cubic inches. One gallon = 231 cubic inches.

How many linear feet is a fense 25x25x25ft? The cost of the fense about $15.00 per linear foot.

I am assuming you are talking about fencing in 3 sides of an area with each side being 25 feet long. Linear feet refers to only the running length of the fence. It doesn't care about height. For example, you fence will be 75 linear feet long...three sides each 25 feet. The price per linear foot already takes into account the fence height. For example, you say that the fence you want is about $15.00 per linear foot. For the sake of argument, say your fence is 4 feet high. If you were to change to a 3 foot high fence, the cost per linear foot would be less since there is less fencing material. If you wanted to up the height to 6 feet, the price would rise accordingly.

I have a double extension ladder ,both sections are 157 inches long.combined , what is safe working height in feet and inches it would reach .and if buying anew one what size would i order.

I would say the safe working height for a standard duty ladder rated for 250# would be about ten foot. If you want a new ladder of the same working height then get one sized at twevle foot. If you go up to sixteen foot your working height would go up to about 13ft.9 in. For a few dollars more you can get a heaver duty rating for a much more stable ladder. I personnally prefer aluminum over fiberglass for three reasons. They are less expensive, they are less likely to walk, and they weigh less.I hope this helps you some. Thanks.

Why dont these reach very far??? i got an Pyramid 20cb antenna Any good??

CB radios are limited to 4 watts input to the 'final'. CB is suppose to be 'line of sight' or about 20 miles. Variables include where you are using the radio ... in the city or in the country ... signal is blocked by buildings and other environmental conditions. A full wave is 36 feet ... is your antenna some number that will multiply to 36 feet? 1/2 wave antenna = 18 feet ... max allowed in the US ... max hight is 20 feet above the mount. If you have an 'old' CB, they were limited to 5 watts to the final. On a good night, one might talk 100 miles away ... but is of course not legal.

Park on level surface in front of the building on about 15 feet. Turn your low beams on and they need to be pointed in lower part of the building to have one foot of light on the building and other foot on pavement.
