Remove the washer from the electrical supply.
2. Remove the top panel and disconnect the wire plug to the pressure sensor.
3. Reconnect the washer to the electrical supply.
4. Press start and wait 10 seconds (washer will drop out of the continuous loop).
5. Remove the washer from the electrical supply.
6. Reconnect wire plug to pressure sensor and reinstall the top panel.
7. Reconnect the washer to the electrical supply and verify proper functionality.
8. If same symptoms occur, install a new console control.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Front Loading Washer, ATF6000ES stuck on pause mode - HELP!

I fixed this myself and it only took about 5 minutes. The problem is the door latch needs to be reset, which requires unplugging it's three electrical connections. This has to be done inside the washer outer seal, but it is easy to get to. First remove the outer ring that holds the seal on. Next remove only the side of the seal closest to the door latch (again only the outer seal needs to be undone). With this done remove the two screws holding the door latch in place (inside). Remove the latch, unplug the three connectors, plug them back in then reassemble everything. When all is back in place hit "cancel" and it should be good to go.

ATF8000FS1 washer is stuck in pause. Any suggestions?

Hi friend, thanks for your inquiry!

If your washer continues to display an error code of "PAU" it could be an issue with your door lock but if the door strike is not sitting properly within the latch your washer will continue to provide the error code "PAU". Additionally, if your control panel is registering that the door is closed you may continue to experience the "PAU" code. I would recommend having a professional come and properly diagnosis your washer to prevent any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this is helpful. -OOS

Why is control stuck on pause?

Thank you for allowing me to assist you, Friend.

If you are receiving an error code PAUSE, it commonly indicates that the door of your washer is not securely latched or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume cycle. If these basic troubleshooting tips prove ineffective, try reprogramming your appliance by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is best to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your washer. If the issue persists, then your washer could possibly have a faulty door latch or experiencing a communication error with the control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Hope this helps! - Z

Broken latch is stuck inside door. how do i remove door latch, the pat that is inside the machine, not on the door

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are trying to remove the door latch on your Frigidaire washer, model# ATF6000ES. Typically, this is not a do it yourself repair, as there are no step by step instruction manuals. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician, for further assistance. They have been trained on you appliance and should be able to repair the door latch with ease. Hope this is helpful.

If it proves to be ineffective, try reprogramming the appliance by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn the unit on. Frigidaire front loading washer door won't lock and is stuck on pause

Good Morning Mary, thank you for allowing me to assist you.

Let's try resetting the washer. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit to the off position. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on the unit. Now close the door and select a cycle. If the issue persists, then more than likely the unit could either be experiencing a communication issue with the control board and the door latch or the door latch assembly strike is not securely latching correctly and advising the sensor that the door is properly closed.

Fridgidaire frontloader washer stuck on pause

Hello Angela Gilmer - Usually when "PAU" displays on the screens, it indicates that the unit thinks that the door is not securely latch when you started the cycle, or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume washer. If proves to be ineffective, try reprogramming the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. If fault reoccurs, then it typically means that the unit has a faulty door latch. If you aren't certain that the door is properly shut, then the latch assembly may need replacing. Contact a professional to assist with the repairs.

I have a Frigidaire Affinity front load model #ATF6000FS1, when the start button is pressed it automatically goes into pause mode. I have tried resetting by pressing the "spin speed" and...

"pause" isn't something you can reset exactly I'm afraid. Pause means that the washer door was opened mid cycle so all you should need to do is shut the door to restart the cycle. Unfortunately if it doesn't re-start, it means that your door latch assembly has failed and isn't sensing that the door is shut. You'll need to order and replace the door latch assembly to fix the issue.

It's actually a fairly easy part to replace if you're handy. You'll need to unplug the washer and open the door to start with. Then there is a wire ring around the front lip of the rubber door gasket. Use a flat head screwdriver/needle nose pliers and pry the wire ring off. From there you can pull the gasket back out of the way. Remove the screws going into the door latch from the front and reach behind to replace the door latch assembly.
Make SURE the door strike on the door isn't broken too.
that's only a 6$ or so item.
Here's a site for parts and a video on how to replace it.
