Technika 15.4'' tv/dvd can't find antenna that is plugged in

I have got a technika 15.4'' LCD tv/dvd with freeview built in - model LCD15-M3. We were recommended to purchase a technika boosted tv/fm aerial - model TT702 - to use with it. Have plugged both in and run autosetup but the tv keeps telling me after the search that no channels are found and to check the anntena connection. I have done this numerous times, twisting and pushing the connector in (carefully!!) and the same thing keeps coming up. The dvd works and the power is switched on to the antenna, there is no loose connection as the jack from the antenna fits snuggly onto the the socket.

When almost all TV stations went digital, analog TV signals received via an antenna all but disappeared in the United States. So you will not be able to get much, if anything at all without a digital TV connected to a cable system or a satellite system. Welcome to the new economy! You want it? You will PAY for it! Radio (first FM, then AM) will most likely be the next casualty of the new economy!

SOURCE: I have Technika TV (model Number 15.4-311) with

  • Remove any DVD in the player.
  • At the blue screen type 9735.
  • A menu should pop up. select region and then select the top option which should be region 0 (0= multi-region).
  • Next select exit setup then power off the tv. It should now play all regions.

I just did this myself so i know it works.

It is said to require the use of the remote control to operate, so be sure that the remote control works if you are purchasing it.

Wharfedale DVDRHD400 Set up Issue

Hi I had the same problem. The answer is to use a scart lead on the freeview box and connect it to the input/output scart on the DVD. Then connect a scart lead from the TV out on the DVD to the TV. You then press Video source on the DVD remote until 'scart' is displayed to pick the freeview channels. Hope that helps
