This happens to Windows 7 and windows XP computers that has proper drivers installed from the respective CD's come with Product. It this printer a faulty one? Or, this is typical to this printer? (FYI. I have never use this brand before. Never have this problem when use HP, Dell, Canon, etc.)

http://printer.konicaminolta.com/support/current_printers/mc2430dl_sup.htm#Printer_Specific_Documentation The user guide should be helpful to you to pinpoint what is causing the noise. Sounds like the belt drive or gears may be having a problem. Let me know what happens. Tim

Open the top cover. Remove the drum (part with long green handle). Below the drum you will see a strip of glass about 4-5 inches long. Take a cloth and wipe across the glass.
This will normally clear up any white lines in your print.

SOURCE: windows 7 drivers for minolta magicolor 2300dl?
Two Minolta 2300DL windows 7 64-bit solutions(choose oneoption): 1) Download the XP 64-bit driver and extract to a folder: ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/crc/out_going/windows/2300d_64b.exe then Control Panel>Devices and Printers>Add aprinter> Add a local printer>choose USB printer port>select the "HaveDisk" button(do not select a printer) and browse navigate to where you savedthe XP 64-bit driver "MLUU_DRV.inf" driver file which installs and worksfine. Only issue is now have a 3 minutewait delay for each print job using the universal driver compared to no delaywhen printing with XP. OR 2) Follow the Vista USB port(not network) install guide butstill use the XP 64-bit driver. ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/crc/out_going/manuals/misc/km_vista_instruct.pdf 3) 32-bit option use the Vista 32-bit driver first as thatshould work.
