We use a 4(four) part carbonised invoice papers for printing our sales invoices.the desktop pc attached to this particular epson LQ 680 printer uses windows xp operating system. When we print more than one invoice the first one comes out fine but rest get crunched up at the tractor source(place where paper gets pulled). What could be possible causes and what can we try to solve the problem. Regards Mustafa
Mustafa:
The printer is not meant to use multi-copy carbon invoices. The cause of your problem is the double-feed prevention pad below the paper pickup roller. When the first form is fed, the double feed prevention pad will stop multiple paper feeds. With multi-page carbons, the paper feed roller is trying to feed the form, and is pulling the top page of the form into the feed rollers while the double-feed prevention pad is stopping the bottom form from feeding and the top and bottom pages are sliding because of the carbon paper between the sheets. The only solution that I know of is to buy a printer with a tractor feed and pre-printed fan-fold forms with tractor feed strips on the sides of the forms.

Sounds as if the format is wrong. You must set the paper format in the PC wordprocessor or invoicing software to the same size as the actual paper size of the invoice.

Hello, Please, if you can change back to the former operating, is either the printer type is not compactable with the new windows(Windows7). But first you have to check the net to see if you can try upgrading the software of the printer. Please if you've done this let me know what happened next.
