Kenmore Washing Machine. ......Model 25842400

I have a two yr. old Kenmore washing machine, model number 2584200. The porcelain tub already is already rusting away within the little drain holes and leaves rust marks on my clothes. When I received the washer (and I purchased a Kenmore dryer at the same time), my husband was home to receive the new appliances, and he did not receive any manuals for the brand new appliances. Due to the fact that I need the manual for the washer....I am told that I will be billed $30 for two manuals if I chose to order them from Sears. Does anyone know of an online source that has the manuals that you can download for free? I have yet to find one and I really don't feel like giving Sears any more money as I already have to pay money for a new porcelain tub installation. With a lot of work I was able to get them to at least cover the tub under warranty and that wasn't easy!!!! Thanks for any help. Karen

You can go on to sears website to Manage My Home and pull up your manuel for free. Just have your model number.

sounds as though you have a bad lid or door switch if the timer is ok.if not replaced the timer

Check the Sears parts site for diagrams of all the major components. Replace the model number shown (11020802990) with your model number (found on cabinet when you open the lid)

Sounds like you have something between the tubs. If it only does this in the spin cycle, I would look for something between the tubs

you could probalby get away with a marine epoxy to repair thecrack (depending on size) , althouth replacing the tub would be the best "feel safe" --- "no longer worry about possible floods". buthte cost and time to switch the puter tub is problably cheaperto buy new machine
