White streaks on every printout

Even with a brand-new toner cartridge, which I've taken out and shaken over and over again, I get vertical white streaks on every printout, always in the same places on every page. Obviously something needs cleaning, but I can't find any manual anywhere telling me how to clean anything other than the paper rollers. What do I clean, and how do I clean it?

Pull all imaging units out and clean the laser with the wand provided either in tray or on front door.

SOURCE: Konica Minolta 2400W Error Message

remove the opc drum.

there are two black plastic flags that detect paper jams. one is high up just below the fuser unit. The other is roughly half way up the printer between two small transfer rollers very close to the opto sensor. Apparently it frequetly gets jammed behind the plastic cover, and once jammed you would never realise it is there.

I managed to prise it out from behind the cover and the "paper jam at transfer roller" message was cleared.

Unless you know it is there and hiding it is not obvious at all that anything is wrong.

SOURCE: I'm getting a white streak vertically down my

There is a lens inside the printer that has a speck of dust on it. If you pull the Drum cartridge (the green handle) look straight down on the side closest to the fornt you will see a glass peice about 6"x3/8". Dust on this will create a streak like your describing. Do not touch this with your hand! Use a lint free cloth or better a can of dust spray be sure not to tip the can so that the solution sprays out, do not blow on it with your mouth either. You may spit on it! You can usually see the speck of dust. Get it removed and you should be fine.

Color Print Quality

In my experience, the fuser has always been the cause of the lines.

Lexmark ms410dn printing poorly

Did you shake the toner cartridge before installing in the printer? Sometimes the toner will clump in the cartridge due to shipping etc., and needs to be shaken to loosen it up.

How do I get rid of vertical streaks?

You may have a bad drum cartridge. Is it refilled? Try replacing it with brand new original.

If there are debris of "black film-like material" you may need to replace your fuser film.

I have cleaned the developer blades of the colour cartridges in my samsung clp-300 laser printer as per instructions on this site. The vertical white lines have now gone BUT i now have a 3 mm wide blue...

Check to make sure the blade is UNDER the foam along the side where the streak is. If it isn't, then more toner is getting out than should be and that is the cause of your streak.

There is a white vertical streak on pages I print.

You can pull out each cartridge and shake it gently to redistribute the toner. Try a half page test to eliminate the various stages of the image formation. The timing on this is not easy but through trial and error it can be helpful.

Vertical Stripes on printed Page, Shaken Toner, Relatively new Belt (Green thing), cleaned the fuzer wire, cleaned the cleaner roller, has oil.

Depending on the type and model of your printer this could be several things mostly related to the cartridge or drum if you have a separate toner/drum system.. Since you have stated you have shaken the toner, I am assuming you have a laser printer. New belt, has me confused. Green thing leads me to think you are talking about the drum. If so, did you purchase a new toner cartridge or new drum cartridge?

Several components inside the toner or drum cartridge will cause vertical streaks. It depends on where these streaks are occurring and how wide the streaks are. We call these repetitive defects and they can be measured to determine which part is at fault.

Also, if this is a multi-unit machine (print/copy/fax/scan) Check the platen glass or ADf feed unit for white out. That has been a major culprit of vertical streaks on the page.

More specifics about the model of machine and cartridges being used would be helpful in trying to solve this problem for you.
